Flash Fire doesn't work when frozen, should that be noted? Nyktos 01:03, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes. TTEchidna 03:02, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

The "Burned" thing has to be confirmed. Will-o-Wisp makes sense, since it's a fire move, but Google says that Flame Orb doesn't activate this, and Tri-Attack needs to be checked. In fact, Will-o-Wisp shouldn't even burn the target, since it's immune. --Raijinili 03:59, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

What about being burned by using a contact move on a Pokémon who has Flame Body?Laoris 14:21, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

I guess the answer is "no" because of the "only when from Fire-type move" section, but does Flash Fire's power increase activate from the returned BRN of a foe Pokémon with Synchronize who has been inflicted the status? (from a Fire-type move) -- --Solovino 22:20, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

So by exactly how much does Flash Fire "Powers up Fire-type moves if hit by a Fire move" Is it 1.5x, or what? J-Man 19:51, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

From my guess, it's x1.5, from Overgrow's description and article. --Enervation 15:56, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

So sorry to re-ask this, but it seems no one has looked into it. So by exactly how much does Flash Fire "Powers up Fire-type moves if hit by a Fire move" Is it 1.5x, or what?

That's what I was thinking. All of the Pokémon with Flash fire are Fire-type, and aren't Fire-type Pokémon immune to burns? Tk3141 14:24, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Please don't put your comment in the middle of a discussion that's more than three years old. In answer to your question, yes Fire-type Pokémon are immune to burns. However non-Fire-types can have this ability temporarily through the use of Skill Swap or Trace. Werdnae (talk) 20:14, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Frozen condition in gen V

...No longer blocks Flash Fire. Proof is: 65-35133-13819 (you can skip to turn 10), I'll try to make a video tomorrow. — ∀ЫъГѣTalk page 17:07, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Fire Immunity removed?

Is the immunity to Fire-type moves removed when the Pokémon is hit while frozen in Gens III and IV? hfc2X 17:21, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Yep for Gen III, didn't test in Gen IV yet. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 17:46, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Fire boost question

I got a little question here. After taking in a Fire-type move and getting the boost to Fire-type moves, is the boost lost when Flash Fire is switched (Skill Swap, Entrainment, Houndoom's Mega Evolution, etc) or suppressed (Gastro Acid)? I couldn't see it mentioned on this article... Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 03:27, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

How does the encounter work?

Hello. I have a question about how these 50% spawns work. Suppose I want to find a Turtonator. It normally has a 2% Spawn Rate. However, it is on a Route with 25% Coalossal encounter, another Fire type Pokemon. What is the odds, with and without Flash Fire, that Turtonator can be found? If Flash Fire ignores all non-Fire Pokemon odds, then Turtonator should spawn about 4.7% of the time; the average of the natural 2% and the 2/27 between itself and Coalossal. LocalMaple (talk) 23:54, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Response: I cannot give you the numbers, but I am certain it is higher than 4.7%. I used this method to catch turtonator when I was looking for it and in some 20 encounters probably saw 5 turtonators. I could not figure out what the formula was though. That was also not my goal. I'd love someone to figure out the math.--NoJuice (talk) 04:06, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Hisuian Growlithe and Arcanine cannot have any Ability before Gen IX

Abilities did not exist in Legends: Arceus --CuteShaymin (talk) 19:57, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

All Pokémon in Legends Arceus have three Ability slots, they are just not displayed in-game and have no effect. Minibug (talk) 20:00, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
