Ana?

Wasn't she called "Ana" in SM039? Is it really just a short form of "Announcer" and not her name? Ratcicle Fan (talk) 17:54, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

(Nevermind the above message) I just wanted to point out that, given she's not named until SM039, she's not necessarily unnamed in the English dub, she just hasn't been named yet. - unsigned comment from Ratcicle Fan (talkcontribs)

Regardless of whether she will be named in the future, she is currently not named. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:13, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Move

Shouldn't this page be moved to Ana, now that her Japanese name is known? Satsjoe (talk) 12:23, 3 September 2017 (UTC)

Japanese name

I seem to have missed where it was decided that her Japanese name is Ana. Not sure if that was on someone's talk page or in an edit summary somewhere. In any case, previously to that I thought (again, I can't find where it was said, but I remember it being said... somewhere) that somebody with some authority on our translations had said that アナ ana was simply an abbreviation of アナウンサー announcer. Was Ana used in SM039 in a way that unambiguously made it clear that it was a name and not an abbreviation? Thanks for explaining. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 22:16, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

I second that question, since if it's indeed her "real" name, the page would have to be moved. Japanese names take precedence over descriptive ones. We don't have Uschi at "Shopper", or Freddie as the "Glasses Guy" (which is how he was referred to in the English CC), for example. --Maxim (talk) 09:57, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
