Merge

The Alexa main page is now oddly uninformative. It's not like that page was particularly long, we essentially just moved most of the character's content away from her main article. We shouldn't be dividing our content into multiple places like that. I don't think she should have two separate articles. MaverickNate 11:17, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

In fact, when I created the content for this page, I was careful not to repeat the content that was there before. All the pages I made based on a specific character, I was careful to watch the episode from the point of view of the specific character.
But I don't know if I'm the best person to give an opinion, but I think Alexa's page on games was succinct and cleaner without having to share extra content. This is a good thing.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:09, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
I'm a bit split on this. She is notable enough for her own article, but it would be nice to have the important information about the character in one place. Splitting this article has been argued against several times in the past for similar reasons as given by Maverick Nate. However, I think it makes sense to have an article for her anime counterpart given her notability. Perhaps a compromise could be to expand her anime section in the main article with the most important information, while leaving some of the more specific details to the anime article? If we decide that she really does need a separate article, I don't want to keep that from happening. I don't see the information on this page as "extra" content, I see it as content about one subject. Now, I do understand why "May (game)" and "May (anime)" are two distinct topics, but this feels more like a subpage for an article that didn't completely need a subpage. When we split it up, neither article provides the full picture for this person anymore. An expanded section on the main page would help that, but having all of this page's content over there would be the best solution to me. If I'm wildly off base, feel free to disagree, but that's just my initial instinct here. ÉMaverickNate 00:46, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
I would also add that Alexa is already pretty short, and a merge wouldn’t do much harm.--MissDelibirda (talk) 08:20, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
I'm gonna go ahead and support the merge for now. While I feel the article is notable enough to be its own article, that doesn't mean it has to be split, or that a split is even the right thing to do. I agree that it's ideal to have the important information in one place if possible, and in this case, there's really nothing in this article that would be considered all that unimportant or out of place in the main article.
