TCG Elemental Types Grass Darkness Fighting Fire Colorless Lightning Water Metal Psychic

The Metal type is one of nine TCG elemental types.

The Metal type contains all Steel-type Pokémon found in the Game Boy games. For example, Steelix and Scizor both appear as Metal types in the TCG.

Like the Darkness-type, it has its own Special Energy. However, instead of increasing damage done by 10, it decreases damage taken by 10.

Battle properties

Generally, Metal Pokémon have a weakness to:

• Fire
• Fighting

These types are generally weak to Metal Pokémon:

• Water (if the Pokémon was an Ice-type in the Game Boy games)

These types are generally resistant to Metal Pokémon:

• Lightning

Generally Metal Pokémon have a resistance to:

• Grass
• Fighting (Diamond & Pearl onwards)
