The Fighting type (Japanese: (とう) Fighting) is one of the eleven TCG types. It is represented by the color brown, and symbolized by a left-handed fist.

The Fighting type contains all Fighting-, Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Machamp, Gigalith, and Dugtrio are all Fighting types in the TCG.

The corresponding Basic Energy card is Fighting Energy.

In the video games

Pokémon Trading Card Game series

In Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are 23 Fighting-type Pokémon cards. In Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR!, there are 51 Fighting-type Pokémon cards.

The Fighting Energy card is available in both games. In the second game only, the Rainbow Energy also provides any kind of basic Energy (including Fighting Energy).

Trivia

  • The Fighting type is the only one to not have a Fusion Strike Pokémon, except for the retired Fairy type.
