So please respect the work I had, not only cleaning up your stuff, as writing to you. Don't hesitate when asking me anything you want here, but always hesitate when you see you still cannot replicate a good article. No hurries. Being the best doesn't mean starting soon. It means learning from the others since the moment you don't know how to do that thing, and gradually improve you own skills. :<big>'''STOP INSULTING MY WORK!!!'''</big> I always avoid writing in capitals because of [[Bulbapedia:Code of conduct|this]], so when I do it, it means I've reached my limit. You've ignored almost every warning I gave you. And you shouldn't laugh at that, because it can be considered vandalism, and so you're putting yourself at risk of being blocked by a staff member. You think you're the best, but calm down! {{tt|No offense, but I call this ignorance - something not proper for someone who wants to be better.|and again, I only say this if I have reached my very limit}} If you want to be respected, please don't disrespect others. Welcome to Bulbapedia, Racerjames200!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Masatoshitalk 20:27, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

Edits to glitch pokémon pages

Please... use the preview button and only make edits if you really think they will make the article better. Follow the conventions - they must be there for some reason. I'm tired now and I'm still working. Besides, you're not the first user new at this who I started worrying about. So I won't tell you much things already; just this: there's no problem in slowing down and trying to learn from the others, while making less significant edits. Then you should gradually start making bigger ones. Believe me: many good users, including most of the staff (or all of it) have started like this. Why don't you do it to? Thanks.

PS If you're doing all of this just to be autoconfirmed, please take the following into consideration: altough the number of edits is secret, you've certainly surpassed it. The other requirement is a (also secret) number of days. There shouldn't be many left. TheOriginalOne 17:56, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Also, don't make tests for new pages on their talk pages (and again, I see you need to practice before you start making new pages, as your style is still informal). If you want to test a page, do it on a backup on your computer, or (only if you are autoconfirmed) on a separate part of your userspace (i.e. User:Racerjames200/ゥ$ (F4)), before finaly dumping it on the actual page with the essencial content. With that I mean all the template stuff (see why I want you to train; ok, you can ignore the minor ones, but without forgetting to put the {{incomplete}} sign at the beginning of the article), following exactly the same model of the similar articles. Copypaste from them and then make the necessary changes. Hey! But not now. Start slowly, ok? You are jumping to a level higher than yours, no matter you notice it or not. But who knows? If you follow my advice, maybe in a few months you will have no problem on this. TheOriginalOne 22:54, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Pokémon

When writing Pokémon, make sure the word is capitalized, and it has 'é' instead of 'e'. If you cannot type 'é', both 'é' and 'Poké' are available in the character palette below the edit box. Thanks. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 23:14, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

Please... PLEASE!

What have I told you 2 sections ago? If you want to create a new pokémon article, at least keep the basic format of all the other ones. That includes the templates. I'm gonna place {{stub}} there, but just as an exception. TheOriginalOne 19:27, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Also, stub notices are to be placed at the end of a page, and in case it's glitch-related (sorry for not telling you this part), you should write {{stub|Glitch}}. Besides, (I'm just saying this because I'm afraid you could do something else that shouldn't be done) that basic content includes the front sprite (if it doesn't freeze the game). If you want to get the sprite(s), use roms. Also, many of the template stuff can be found here. Just navigate by looking at the hexadecimals. And don't get confused with the distinction between RB and Y. TheOriginalOne 19:41, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
No, no! I said I was going to place the stub notice as an exception. If you want to create a glitch pokémon article, please make one that is relatively complete. If you are in doubt about that, you can submit the code to me and ask if that is enough. You can redirect any questions to my talk page if you want. But please keep this in mind: as we are talking about low traffic pages, we should at least leave a minimum of quality there. TheOriginalOne 20:14, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Hello :) when you're creating a new article for a glitch Pokémon, please make sure to add the {{GlitchPkmnInfobox}} to the page and fill in the appropriate parameters - this will automatically categorise your new article by type as well as conforming to the style of existing articles. Thanks for your contributions! --ZestyCactus 20:35, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Sorry to bombard your page, but make sure when using the infobox, that you fill out the information similar to how you would see it here. Just putting {{GlitchPkmnInfobox}} won't put in the right information. Also, if you're linking to the page with the title, and not a template use brackets ([[ ]]) not braces ({{ }}). Using braces links to templates, while using brackets links to pages. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 20:51, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
AHHH! Sorry, but if it was that easy, all the glitch pokémon pages would exist. They shouldn't be stubs when created. Calm down. Your name describes it very well: you think this is a race at 200mph. But it isn't. Slow down; why don't you return to normal editing? That is the best way of learning how to eventually create new pages (and not only you missed the templates, as you did so with the links). I have always been an active, fast-learner user since February 2012, and so far this is the number of new pages I created, excluding redirects, moves and disambiguations: 1. Please understand this: there are no hurries in Bulbapedia, and when it comes to edits, it's better to do our best in a great amount of time than to do that. Please: if your goal is a better wiki, then do your best, and only when you feel the time has come. Thanks. TheOriginalOne 22:25, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Also, please always sign at the end of a comment. Signing at the beginning is against the rules, as it creates confusion between your messages and the ones that come after. When it comes to the use of the same sprite when the # is the same, I'm not completely sure: ask the project leader. If you want to get sure by yourself, follow the method of getting sprites that I told you about: use roms, follow the procedures necessary to spot the glitch pokémon, and take a good snapshot (with a size of 56x56px), to then upload it to the archives (also, the name should not be random. See the convention here). At that point, the file is ready to be linked to. You can write any doubts about it here, for me to answer you in the most detailed way I can.
I saw your user page. You're good for a 10/11 year old: which doesn't mean you don't have to learn some things. To begin with, please read this. Again, you're free to ask me any questions. Ask everything you want! TheOriginalOne 13:02, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Ok, you can be sure of the same sprite thing. Adding it now. TheOriginalOne 16:18, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Great! That's a very nice behaviour, to just pay attention to what you like (I noticed you changed your habits a little, according to some things I told you), and to ingore the rest. Specially when I'm your slave! When my job is to complete (sort of) what you left unacceptably incomplete! Something that you could have easily avoided by:

  • Reading the Manual of style
  • Clicking of the edit tab of the pages for other glitch pokémon articles, to see how the templates work (in order to test the parameters, use the preview button as many times as you want!)
  • Noticing that an article without at least the follows isn't a generation I glitch pokémon article:
    • Templates: {{GlitchPkmnInfobox}}, {{AvailabilityGlitch}} {{stats/GenI}}, the learnset variants and {{GlitchEvobox}}. All the info necessary for that is also available at GCL.
    • Links: All that you can find (except for basic things, like "Pokédex" or "Pokémon"). Study the list of link templates and the ones used on other glitch pkmn pages.
    • Other sections: Just the External links: Easy as hell! Make an external link to the Glitch City article, under the cover text "On Glitch City Laboratories" (in case you don't know how to make an external link there's no problem, as it's explained in the Manual of style)
  • And please! The katakana u (ゥ) and other strange characters are to be copypasted, not replaced by things like "}".

TheOriginalOne 17:49, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

STOP INSULTING MY WORK!!! I always avoid writing in capitals because of this, so when I do it, it means I've reached my limit. You've ignored almost every warning I gave you. No offense, but I call this ignorance - something not proper for someone who wants to be better. If you want to be respected, please don't disrespect others. TheOriginalOne 18:59, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
