Luna's been involved with Pokémon since Pokémon Blue reached her younger brother's possession in 1998. Since then, Luna and her brother Jargo (who never related to the Pokémon fandom) have kept up a coincidental theme of game ownership: Luna would always have the 'Hero' games (Red, Gold, Ruby, and Diamond) and Jargo would always own the 'Rival' games (Blue, Silver, Sapphire, and Pearl). In fact, one of Luna's reasons for buying Diamond was to finally get away from the 'warm-color' games (another reason was that Diamond got the better deal on Pokémon; [[Dialga]]] rules, [[Palkia]] drools); it's just a neat coincidence that tradition still holds firm.

DID YOU KNOW? ArcToraphim...

  • ...can't ever stay under one name. In fact, 'ArcToraphim' is really the pseudonym to her truest pseudonym, Luna Tiger. Or simply Luna. Or simpler yet, LT. Due to her ex-moniker on SPPf though, she's also commonly called Toraphi. But it's still just 'Luna' for short and likes it best.

  • ...is a Water Dog - Aquarius, born January 31th, 1983. Conveniently, and much to her passive ire, her real name is January. You won't find her name in the CotD'dex anytime soon. Shame. It's a pretty name, just not grand to have.

  • ...accepted mod status solely to update the (In)Complete 'Shippers List on Bulbagarden's forums. She's been at it since July of 2006...and she admits it might have made her a little tetched sometime in between then and now.
  • Side Note: While 'ships can be found in several other fandoms, she believes it doesn't work the same for them as it does Pokémon. Her opinion is the -shipping suffix itself is clumsy and useless in a limited setting...but she still really likes maintaining the List.

  • ...is a major Falkner and Gardenia fan. She loves Falkner before other characters (though holds back on public fanning) and will never stop; Gardenia was the first Gym Leader since Falkner to truly make her heart go pitter-patter. She is also a fangirl of Brock (and his Croagunk too).
  • Side Note: She's ashamed to admit she is responsible for the majority of Falkner 'ships on the 'Shipper's List, but also admits it's addictive and fun, and impossible for her to stop. In the same recipe, she 'ships Honorshipping above all others and believes to be its biggest English contributor toward it.

  • ...is a huge fan of the Johto region in general and wishes it hadn't turned out to be the black sheep of the Pokémon generational games. The majority of her favorite pokémon come from that region, and hates seeing them strewn across Hoenn and the Sevii Isles just so Johto doesn't need to be revisited. The region's traditionalist air is also attractive. Please Nintendo, bring Johto back for the 4th generation!

  • ...is a writer. Though currently, she believes that should read: 'was a writer'.

  • ...LOVES the Water/Ground type combination, except doesn't like Quagsire. Or the Westside Gastrodon. Or Whiscash. In the same vein, she never liked any of the water starters until Mudkip.

  • ...apparently talks in third person. Huh. She has to fix this.

Luna's been involved with Pokémon since Pokémon Blue reached her younger brother's possession in 1998. With Blue and Red somehow gotten between them, and Yellow too, with only a single GameBoy Color between them until sometime after Gold and Silver were released, there was much anarchy. Memories of this are hazy, but yes, it was bad.

In fact, one of Luna's reasons for buying Diamond was to finally get away from the 'warm-color' games (another reason was that Diamond got the better deal on Pokémon; Dialga] rules, Palkia drools); it's just a neat coincidence that tradition still holds firm.

The only game they've never owned between them was Pokémon Crystal. Jargo's lost Silver and Sapphire (which Luna personally bought him; rawr dammit!), and Luna's lost Emerald, much to her grief and grievance.

Luna's ultimate discovery of shipping happened once she discovered "yaoi" in 1999/2000, and began with ShiShi, or Palletshipping, on Ruaki's (now defunct) website DigiPark. This lead to her finding the Anyshippers website, and realizing this...was going to be fun.

It went all downhill from there. To finding various groups of 'ship names splashed everywhere (the at-the-time most current was on the Anyshippers Yahoo! Group, to her knowledge) to making her first actual submission to the older-and-gone BMGf 'Shipper List thread (BTW, that was Honorshipping), she was and is (for a lack of a better way to say it) latched onto the damn thing at the hip. She even met Blackjack Gabianni through the Anyshippers Group.
