First of all, an administrator agrees with me. Second, since it '''was''' a contest, and '''it caused Misty to get her main Pokémon''', Misty actually '''won''' something. (Okay, actually she got second place, but Togepi didn't like Ash, who won. However, '''that doesn't mean that Misty was guaranteed to get Togepi!''' I can understand the "link each Pokemon once" for a paragraph, but should this also apply to lists of owned Pokemon? I can understand of Misty has two Goldeen, to link only the first of the two in the list, but if there's a list of her anime Pokemon, a list of her Pokeomn in Red and in Gold and in Stadium 1 and Stadium 2 and the card games, and I head straight for the Stadium 2 list, shouldn't Goldeen in that list be linked, even though it make have been linked in a paragraph or the Red/Blue Pokemon list before? --Meowth346

Good point. Since the sections of the Gym Leaders are so diverse, you might miss a link for each section. Ask Argy or Evkl for their opinions.

- Zeta

By the way - we should problably develop a special marker or something for Gym Leader while we're at it. Or at least the leaders that appear in multiple formats - particularly games, manga, AND anime.

- Zeta

Both seem reasonable suggestions to be.--Archaic 04:40, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)

At Cerulean Gym Isn't she at Cerulean Gym right now? So wouldn't logic dictate that she actually has those Pokémon on-hand rather than in storage? - Ferret 09:32, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Good point, Ferret. As for the other issue, Pokémon should be linked in the lists even if they were previously mentioned in the article. It is reasonable to suspect that some would go right to a specific section rather than read the entire article. --Argy 22:01, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Misty isn't the only main character not to have their parents revealed. What about Tracey? - Kenji-girl

About Misty...

Shouldn't it be noteworthy that Mayumi Iizuka mentioned in her blog that Misty might return for the "Diamond and Pearl" anime? I mean, I personally feel that it should be mentioned. Another thing is that even bulbanews somewhat confirmed it, (or, if not, they at least confirmed that Mayumi Iizuka didn't mean specials considering that she actually confirmed the specials thing BEFORE she hinted at Misty making a possible return sometime in the future, and besides which, the 10th anniversary special's first [and only] airing in Japan was on November 11th, 2006, almost 5 months prior to making that announcement on March of 2007.), but then again, I don't run the site.

IIRC, that ended up getting interpreted as "I will be doing more specials". Has anyone seen anything on her blog since? For that matter, is there a link to the entry in question? - Cassius335

I do have a link to this entry: it's [1], or, for the Bulbanews Translation, it's http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Kasumi_to_make_appearance_in_anime. And speaking of the bulbanews article, it pretty much confirmed the part involving her doing specials. However, the confirmation on her doing specials was, as I said, right BEFORE the hint at Misty's appearance.

Fixed the links, hope you don't mind. Bulbanews link sadly doesn't seem to have a translation and the original is going to require better translator program than Babelfish. - Cassius335

Yeah, when I said the "Bulbanews translation", I was meaning the lines that said "According to (Insert japanese link here), the blog of voice actress Mayumi Iizuka, Kasumi will be "Navigating", that is to say, hosting several parts of the first Pokemon 10th anniversary special, which airs on TV Tokyo tonight at 7 pm JST. She hinted at a further appearance sometime in the future.", since they had to have translated the blog to get this information.

Ok, I think that i should add in that tidbit in regards to Mayumi Iizuka hinting in her blog that Misty will be appearing in Diamond and Pearl. I mean, If they allowed something that Eric Stuart said in a K-Zone article in regards to Brock's Last Name to be said in the Trivia section of Brocks article, I'm pretty sure they will allow something in regards to Mayumi Iizuka's Blog in regards to Misty here.

You can try, though someone might take it out again because they think it's 'fanwank'. Make sure to add that no such appearence has happened yet. - Cassius335

EP001

Misty appeared in episode one so I'm changing her profile to EP001-AG145 and MMop-present because she has not appeared in the season nine anime

Misty's outfit

Do you think you could find a picture of Misty's current outfit and put it below her old outfit

Of course! Haruka uzumaki

ummm... shouldn't there be a listing of accomplishments/competitions that Misty has been in?

I mean, Why not? I mean, Misty has had her fair share of accomplishments, She competed and was champ in the Queen of the princess festival contest, She competed in the race, she is the champ of the water race in the 5th movie, she ranked 3rd place in the whirl cup, she was champ in the seaking fishing tourney, and many other things that she competed in. I mean, if you gave a list for the accomplishments in non-gyms/leagues/BF battles in ash's page, and accomplishments in Jessie and James' respective pages, you can most certainly allow an accomplishments/competitions list for misty.

Speaking of Jessie, I also noticed that she didn't have the fact that she ranked 2nd place in the Queen of the Princess festival contest listed under her achievements/competitions page. I mean, what exactly is the matter with that contest? If you were able to reference James winning the Orienteering competition and his ranking 2nd place in the ring-leading tournament in his page, you can most certainly allow the ranking of 2nd place in the queen of the princess festival contest in Jessies page.

~~Weedle Mchairybug~~

I guess so. But Misty didn't win that water race. It was the guy with the Walmer. And it was the 5th movie. And she was in second place in the Whirl Cup competition. The only thing Misty really one in the series was the Princess competition. --ケンジガール 02:14, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

wait a minute... I thought the Serebii.net Movie summary said that she actually was the CHAMP of that race... I thought Misty beat Rossi (you know, wailmer man) and I thought she won that medal that tells the legend of the Lati@s and the origin of Alto Mare. Also, didn't trinity beat Misty and yet lose against the guy with the Feraligator? And even if Trinity beat Feraligator man, it still proves that the fight of Misty vs. trinity wasn't the final battle of the tournament. So in that sense, yes she did win 3rd place in the whirl tournament. So really, why NOT mention those 2?

Aso, I just corrected my Fau Pax in regards to which movie. I did think 5th movie, but I typoed.

She was top 8 at the Whirl Cup and won the race in movie 5.
And the simple reason the list isn't there is simply because no one has got round to it yet. That's the way of the wiki - you are welcome to add it yourself. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:00, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

OK, stop edit warring over the contest in EP050. Personally, I think it warrents inclusion since it was set up as a tournament but let's discuss this. --FabuVinny T-C-S 23:27, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

actually, I eliminated the most recent addition in light of what Kenji_Girl said on her talk Page.

Misty's DP appearance

Doesn't anyone believe that Iizuka may have been referring to Misty's special lure in DP034 rather than Misty herself? I mean that episode came a few weeks after she announced it. I think that's most likely what she was talking about. But that's just me. --ケンジガール 21:48, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

I doubt It, I mean, considering that it was her Voice Actress who stated it, I don't think so. Now If it was her Animator who stated it, then, yes, it would have been far more likely.

Given that it is her voice actress, the chances of it being the Misty lure are really unlikely unless she misunderstood something an animator said to her.
It is odd that we haven't seen Misty appear since then but Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon was recorded eight months before the Japanese audience got to see it. --FabuVinny T-C-S 23:26, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Page locked?

Why is the page lockedLego3400 02:26, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Because of "edit wars". --ケンジガール 02:35, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
The edit war was over whether the private tournament in EP050 should be considered a notable achievement for Misty. It was first put in by Weedle Mchairybug, who put it back in a second time after Kenji-girl removed the reference. However, Shiny Noctowl decided it was notable after Kenji-girl removed it the second time and reverted the edit. Kenji-girl removes it a third time, Shiny Noctowl puts it back in again for the fourth time. By this point, Weedle Mchairybug (the original instigator) has given in and makes the fourth removal. Shiny Noctowl does another reversion to put it back in a fifth time. Fabu-Vinny had had enough at this point in time and put the page under protection.
And this isn't the first time Shiny Noctowl's caused controversy. He's been known to defend the notability of articles whose entire premise is not notable and can't be made notable no matter what (such as an article about ROM hacks in general), and he once tried to get the occurences of Template:tt used for Pokémon in Japanese anime episode titles changed over to Template:pt. --Shiningpikablu252 02:41, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Why are you completely blaming me? Kenji-Girl is the one who removed the completely legitimate and notable. And, as you can see here, Fabu-Vinny, an administrator, agrees with me that it should be included. And how would it hurt anyone to include it, anyway? God...Stop this...I think the little 'contest' for Togepi is not relevant as it was not official, only Team Rocket and the twoips participated. Everything else is good, so there! File:Ani475MS.gif Agent #448 DP | E | File:Ani282MS.gif 13:19, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
