Should we use a temporary screenshot of Melmetal since we don't have its actual artwork? I think it wold be better than no image at all. Ice Cream 15:02, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Something to add

Add something in the trivia section: Melmetal and its pre-evolution are the only Mythical Pokémon that are part of an evolutionary line. Wrrasba (talk) 15:25, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Despite being disputed; there is Manaphy and Phione too so I do not think that should be added at this time. Frozen Fennec 13:27, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
I'd argue that Manaphy and Phione aren't in an evolution line. They are related by breeding, but neither Meltan nor Melmetal can be bred, and Phione does not evolve into Manaphy. If you're being technical, Manaphy and Phione are related by breeding and Meltan and Melmetal are related by evolution. MarioMiner (talk) 20:27, 5 December 2018 (UTC)

Evolution Method?

It is mentioned in The Two Professors videos that when a group of pre-evolution come together, they can form Melmetal. Can that be mentioned as an evolution method? --Pokemon26 (talk) 16:41, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

No because it doesn't mention how they evolve in game. It's like with Magnemite. Ice Cream 18:08, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Mythical Pokémon Distinction

Would Melmetal and Meltan count along side Magearna as the only Mythical Pokémon that can be obtained indefinitely through events not limited? As they Mythical Pokemon can be obtained at any time and not a limited time event like the other Mythical Pokemon and the special case with Deoxys for example. I just noticed that today.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 03:13, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

There's others too, like Celebi from VC Crystal, Jirachi from the colosseum bonus disk/Channel, Mew from Ranch, Manaphy from Ranger (kinda)(and then of course there's Phione...) To get multiple of Meltan you need a side game so it's more like Manaphy/Mew/Jirachi, and not comparable to Deoxys/Celebi/Magearna. Introduced in Let's Go or Go?

Given that this will only be available through Go, is it correct to say it was introduced in Let's Go when the first game obtainable will be Go?JMVB - literally it doesn't stand for anything (talk) 09:40, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

If you're considering Main-Series games, then stick with Let's Go. Ice Cream 09:15, 28 October 2018 (UTC)

but abilities don't exist in the games melmetal is available

so how can it have an ability? Pikachu210 (talk) 02:28, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Abilities are still coded into the Let's Go games even if they aren't actually used. When they first started looking into the coding for those games, Meltan and Melmetal's Abilities were pretty much the first thing they discovered, if memory serves. - unsigned comment from Missingno.
