Kenny and Pearl

Pearl

Are Kenny and Pearl counterparts? They look very similar, but Kenny has red hair and Pearl has blonde. They also have siimilar personalities. - unsigned comment from Yinyang1195 (talkcontribs)

I agree that they might be counterparts and that they have similar personality. But for looks...? To me they don't look anything alike. --ケンジガール 01:25, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, look at the hairstyle. They both have those spikes that curve like that and they both have spiky bangs. Also, they're both (if you picked the girl in D/P) Dawn's rival and childhood friend. RahinTalk 17:03, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I'm wrong. "Jun" is gonna be in DP101! YinYang 19:55, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Ash and Lucas

It's possible that as well as being the anime counterpart to Red, Ash can also be considered a counterpart to Lucas; in particular, aside from his hat, Ash's Diamond/Pearl clothes greatly resemble that of Lucas'. Furthermore, in both English and Japanese versions, 'Ash/Satoshi' is one of the default names for Lucas.

Interestingly enough, Ash plays a role similar to that of Professor Rowan's assistant, teaching Dawn the ropes and helping her out when needed. He can also be seen as Dawn's 'partner' of sorts, as her traveling cohort and doubling with her often (particularly against Team Rocket). 富士山 09:06, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Red counterparts..

Is it really necessary to have that picture chart? It seems out of place, and large. Plus, the others don't have them. Lovely Rose 20:58, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

The others don't have it because they Red has the most counterparts. It's there to illustrate the idea of counterparts. Without it this whole page is just a long list. --electAbuzzzz 21:01, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Pictures are good. If someone made some other ones, we could put them up too. Provided the quality was still good. —darklordtrom 21:03, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
I agree in keeping the picture, but should we really have Red's on RBGY design there? The game one that is, not the one from whatever that manga on the left is. It's the same person as the FireRed/LeafGreen Red, not a counterpart.Reign 06:20, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Lyra?

Is that her default name in the games as well as the anime? Flyingtypefan 08:37, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Yes. 梅子 08:38, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Play as Ethan sometime. You'll get used to calling her "liar" instead. Damned Marill. TTEchidna 08:40, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Cheren and Bianca

I was wondering Why aren't Cheren and Bianca on here?

They're both true rivals Ataro 07:48, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Title

Anyone else think this title should be singular, not plural? Most of our article titles are singular, even for things usually used in the plural. Plus, it's so much easier to type cross-canon counterpart than cross-canon counterpart, and we'd be able to use the very simple cross-canon counterparts in cases when the plural is preferred in text. I know this is a very late reply, but I do think that this is something that we should look into doing. You make a good point. --Pokemaster97 03:30, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
