Hello and welcome to my userpage! I'm Zesty Cactus, a ninteen-year-old Pokémon fan from Canada. I've just recently graduated from high school and I'm currently working at an independent toy store (which has depressingly little Pokémon merch).
I've been playing the Pokémon games since I recieved Pokémon Red Version in the late 1990s. While my favourite main series game is Pokémon Emerald Version, I do dust off my fourth gen games every so often to keep up with the times. I read most of the Pokémon manga that's out there (or at least out here in Canada :P), my favourite being Pokémon Adventures (isn't it everyone's favourite?). I like the anime well enough, but I'm never home when it's on TV and I don't have enough time to watch it on DVD/internet, although I routinely waste money on the DVDs anyways. I actually hate shipping so much, not just for Pokémon but for all fandoms... I particularily dislike PokéShipping. I do like to joke about DaddyShipping though because.... duuuuude. If you've seen the movie, you know it's true. XD
I'm an avid collector of Pokémon merchandise. I'm not one of those creepy collectors who buys stuff and keeps it in dusty boxes, though - I collect all the crap I do because I just love Pokémon that much. The centrepieces of my collection are easily my international items - anything I brought back from Japan (I went to Japan with my high school in March 2008), the Spanish stuff that Dany36 gave me (she's from Mexico!), and some random French stuff I have lying around (both from Québec and from France). I'm always adding stuff to Project Globe and "In other languages" sections: I find languages fascinating and I love learning about Pokémon in countries outside of my own. I'm currently trying to brush up my French to a usable level (mon Français n'est pas bon) and I'd like to eventually pick up a third language like Spanish or German.
I have a boyfriend, Dech Amim, who I met in high school and I love him very much. :') Although I've always loved the Pokémon games, it was with him that I rediscovered the fandom when we both started new games in third gen. Other people I know that you may have seen around Bulbapedia are Thatguywiththecodes, my little brother (>_>) and Dany36, my bffl for life. ^^
As for where you'll find me editing, I edit self-proclaimed "random crap" - I often lurk the Recent Changes and edit random stuff that comes up there. In the past, I did a lot of manga editing, although I haven't been doing too much lately. Right now, most of what I edit is Project Globe and Project Merchandise stuff.
