Hello and welcome to my userpage! I'm Zesty Cactus, a ninteen-year-old Pokémon fan from Canada.
Pokémon and me
I've been playing the Pokémon games since I recieved Pokémon Red Version in the late 1990s. Overall, my favourite games are the Hoenn trio (third gen doesn't get enough love!) but I do keep up with the fourth gen games as well... I'm sloooooowly plodding my way through SoulSilver (stupid job keeping me away from my games D:)

I really like the Pokémon Ranger games in particular, and I'm really looking forward to the Ranger 3 game. Hell, I even enjoyed Pokémon Channel (it has its flaws, sure, but it's actually quite cute/fun and has surprisingly dry humour sometimes).
I only barely follow the anime. I used to watch it religiously, but now I'm hardly ever around when it's on TV and I frankly can't be bothered. Despite this, I occasionally waste money on the DVDs anyways (and eventually watch them). In general though, while I enjoy the anime, it's far from my area of expertise.
I read pretty much all the Pokémon manga I can get my hands on (generally, anything published by Viz). Pokémon Adventures is probably my favourite (isn't it everyone's?).
I'm also an avid collector of Pokémon merchandise. Generally, I'm always collecting something, although I've been collecting Pokémon stuff on and off basically since the beginning. I'm especially interested in international stuff, but frankly I'll buy anything with Pikachu's face on it. :P
What I edit
Well, generally, I edit the "randomest crap". I often lurk the recent changes and monitor what's going on and occasionally see things that need correcting or expanding.
I used to write a lot of stuff about the e-Reader, but I've pretty much contributed everything I know about it by this point. I also used to write a lot about Pokémon manga, but I'm reaching my limit on that as well, although I do still try to contribute to Project Manga when I can.
Currently, most of my edits are for Project Merchandise since I own soooo much Pokémon stuff. I also try to contribute to Project Globe when I can because I find the scope of the project really interesting.
Other interests
As you may have guessed, I love languages! I'm currently working on improving my French skills as that's Canada's second official language (and is therefore probably the most useful second language I can pick up). One day I'd love to pick up a third language as well - I'm thinking maybe Spanish, as I do understand a few snippits of Spanish, and like French and English, it's a widely spoken language around the world.
Ignoring Pokémon (just for a minute), some of my other hobbies and interests include Sailor Moon (I collect Sailor Moon stuff too), being a music snob, going to concerts, "just chillin", and playing other video games, like Zelda. I occasionally edit for Zelda Wiki as well (I joined ZW before NIWA, mind you!), although I'm not an expert-level Zelda fan like some of the folks there.
