Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, an ultra rare, and a special illustration rare in the 151 expansion, first released in the Japanese Pokémon Card 151 subset. The Regular and ultra rare prints feature artwork by takuyoa, while the special illustration rare print features artwork by Shiburingaru.
An SVP Black Star Promo version of the card with artwork by takuyoa was included in the 151 ex Box—Zapdos ex, released on October 6, 2023. An oversized version was also included in the box. This print was released in Japan as an SV-P Promotional card and was and was given to players that won a certain number of games at regional Champion's League events held during the 2023-2024 season. These included:
- The 2024 Yokohama Champion's League, held at the Pacifico Yokohama on September 9 and 10, 2023[1]
- The 2024 Kyoto Champions League, held at the Kyoto Pulse Plaza on December 23 and 24, 2023[2]
- The 2024 Fukuoka Champion's League, held at Marine Messe Fukuoka on February 17 and 18, 2024[3]
- The 2024 Aichi Champion's League, held at the Aichi International Exhibition Center in Tokoname on April 13 and 14, 2024[4]
- The 2024 Sapporo Champion's League, held at the Sapporo Dome on May 3 and 4, 2024[5]
Junior League competitors at each meeting were required to win at least four games to become eligible for this print. The threshold for Senior and Master League competitors was five game wins.[6][7][8][9] The Aichi meeting also hosted an Open League, which had no age restriction and was played using the Extra Regulation format. The threshold for the Open League was also five game wins.[10]
The SV-P Promotional print was also distributed at the 2024 Pokémon Japan Championships, which was held at the Pacifico Yokohama convention center in Yokohama, Kanagawa on June 1 and 2, 2024.[11] Junior League competitors in the TCG event that won at least four games were given a copy of this print, as were Senior and Master League TCG competitors that won at least five games.[12] The SV-P Promotional print features the Championship Series 2024 logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration.
