Pokémon Whoosh! (Japanese: ポケモンシュシュシュ! Pokémon Whoosh Whoosh Whoosh!) is an upcoming Pokémon board game. It was first announced via the official @poke_times account on May 23, 2026.[1] The game is set to release on July 30, 2026.

How to play
In Pokémon Whoosh!, players take turns throwing cards to catch Pokémon on the playmat. Cards are double-sided, with a Pokémon on one side and a Poké Ball on the other. To catch a Pokémon, the player's thrown card must land Poké Ball-side up and overlap with all of the numbers on the Pokémon card on the playmat. Once the game ends, each player scores points based on the sum of numbers on the Pokémon side of their cards, and the player with the highest score wins.
Certain cards have unique Poké Balls that can immediately catch a Pokémon it overlaps with, without having to cover all of the numbers on the Pokémon card:
- The Ultra Ball card can immediately catch a Pokémon that has the number "2" on it.
- The Net Ball card can immediately catch a Pokémon that is Bug-type or Water-type (as indicated with the mark on the Pokémon card).
- The Dream Ball card can immediately catch a Pokémon that has a "sleeping" mark on it.
A standard session of Pokémon Whoosh! generally takes between 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Trivia
The gameplay of Pokémon Whoosh! is similar to that of milk caps (Pogs) or Menko cards, except players do not have to strike the cards in play and flip them over to collect them.
