The Art of Pokémon Adventures 2016 Con Exclusive (Japanese: ポケットモンスターSPECIAL イラスト集: PokeSP IllustrationsPocket Monsters SPECIAL Illustrations) is a mini art book featuring full-color illustrations by Satoshi Yamamoto for the Pokémon Adventuresmanga. It includes 68 illustrations numbered #00 through #67 across 64 pages, twelve of which were not previously published (#00, #02, #25, #27, #28, #36, #38, #42, #44, #46, #47, and #53).[1]
In Japan, the book was included as a supplement with the limited edition release of Volume 50 in 2014. In North America, the book was sold for $15 at the VIZ Media booth at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic Con 2016.[2][3] In mainland China, the book and 12 postcards were included as a bonus with the Volume 1–61boxed set.[4]
Although both the regular and limited editions of Volume 50 were released in Japan on March 25, 2014,[5] the back of Volume 50 and the art book list their publication date as March 30, 2014.
