This Pokémon lives quietly in the depths of the forest. The purple, cape-like fur gets longer and longer as Oranguru ages.

Release information

This card was included in the Surging Sparks expansion, first released in the Japanese Super Electric Breaker expansion. In Japan, it is reprinted in the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection.

Rulings

• If Oranguru uses its "Now You're in My Power" attack on a Pokémon that has no Weakness (eg. Dragon-type Pokémon), it will give the Defending Pokémon a ×2 Weakness to Colorless, despite the written text on the English card stating "The amount of Weakness doesn't change." This is because the original Japanese text actually says [弱点は「×2」でダメージ計算をする。], [Apply Weakness as ×2 for damage calculation.]
  • If Oranguru uses its "Now You're in My Power" attack while Kabutops from 151 is in play, Kabutops's "Ancient Way" Ability makes it so that the applied Weakness to Colorless is ×4 instead.
