If 1 of your Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokémon ex, that player takes 1 fewer Prize card. The effect of Shadowy Concealment doesn't stack.

Move an Energy from this Pokémon to 1 of your Benched Pokémon.
A print of the Regular card with alternate artwork by Ultimateinudog was available as one of the MEP Black Star Promos in the Mega Moonlit Tins from June 5, 2026.[1]
The Ability affects both the player's Active and Benched Darkness-type Pokémon. It also affects Mega Gengar ex itself, such that if the opponent has a Pokémon ex Knock Out the Mega Gengar ex using an attack damage, they will only take 2 Prize cards for the Knock Out.
The Ability only activates if the player's Darkness-type Pokémon are Knocked Out by damage from attacks from the opponent's Pokémon ex. It does not activate with other effects that Knock Out the Darkness-type Pokémon (eg. placing damage counters, Special Conditions, instant Knock Out effects), or with attacks from opposing non-Pokémon ex.
Although the "Shadowy Concealment" Ability does not stack with itself, it still stacks with other effects that reduce Prize cards taken by the opponent (eg. Legacy Energy,[3]Munkidori ex's "Oh No You Don't" Ability).
Trivia
In Pokémon Trading Card Game Live, when this card was initially released on October 23, 2025, its "Shadowy Concealment" Ability did not function correctly — the Ability stacked, and worked even if the Pokémon was Knocked Out by a means other than damage from an attack (such as due to being Poisoned, etc.).[4][5][6] Pokémon Trading Card Game Live underwent maintenance on October 25 to fix the issue; the Ability was fixed to work as intended after the maintenance concluded on October 25, 2025.[6]
