Release information

This card was included in the Chaos Rising expansion, first released in the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion, with artwork by Tonji Matsuno.

In Taiwan and Hong Kong, this card is reprinted as a Traditional Chinese M-P Promotional card with new artwork by okayamatakatoshi, and is included in a promo card pack available for winning 3 or more "New Expansion Battle" matches from March 27 to April 17, 2026. Participants have to battle using at least 4 Pokémon cards from the Ninja Spinner expansion.[1][2] The Traditional Chinese M-P Promotional print is released internationally as an MEP Black Star Promotional card and was one of the Prerelease promos for Chaos Rising, available in the Chaos Rising Build & Battle Box. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing Prerelease Tournaments.

Rulings

If a player's Active Pokémon fails to retreat thanks to their opponent's "Slimy Sliding" Ability, that attempt uses the player's retreat for the turn, and they do not get to try to retreat again.[3]

Trivia

Origin
