Summary

A scan of page 176-177 from the October 1996 edition of monthly corocoro comic. It announces the release of the two promo cards included in the next monthly issue:

The blurb above Pikachu's head reads:

Japanese: 10月下旬発売のカードとほぼ同じ仕様の2枚をぞっ‼

English: "Two cards with nearly the same specifications as the cards going on sale in late October, included!"

The bottom banner reads:

Japanese: 月刊 コロコロコミック 11月号 10月15日発売

English: "Monthly CoroCoro Comic November Issue On sale October 15th!"

Note that page 176 pictures the base set Pikachu, a different card. Other pages announcing the next-issue promos also picture other, completely different cards. It was common in Corocoro comics for items to be advertised before a final version could be pictured, so that the final version was either not pictured or substantially altered.

The top half of the scan is page 176, the bottom is 177. The entire scan was a fold-out in the comic book.
