Release information
This card was included in the Darkness Ablaze expansion with artwork by Tomokazu Komiya, first released in the Japanese Explosive Walker subset. It was reprinted, alongside a new print with artwork by Misa Tsutsui featuring the Shiny version of Bunnelby, in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset. The Shiny print was later included in the Shining Fates expansion. It was reprinted as one of the SWSH Black Star Promos with different artwork by sowsow and was available in the Shining Fates Mad Party Pin Collection—Bunnelby from February 19, 2021. This print was later available in Japan as a S-P Promotional card as part of a second "Have Fun. Spring, Pokémon Card." campaign. From March 13, 2021, customers who purchased a booster box or at least 30 individual booster packs at participating Pokémon Card Gym stores were given a set of four Mad Party-based promotional cards. All visitors to participating stores were also given a "Have Fun. Spring, Pokémon Card." sticker featuring an illustration by Mari Inoue. The campaign ran for as long as stocks lasted and a set was limited to one per customer.[1]

Trivia
Origin
The "Mad Party" archetype shared by Galarian Mr. Rime, Dedenne, Polteageist and Bunnelby alludes to the seventh chapter of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, titled "The Mad Tea-Party". Each card represents a character from the novel that attended the tea party; in this case, Bunnelby represents the March Hare.
This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Sword. The Shining Fates print features the Shiny version of Bunnelby.
