Release information

This card was one of the SM Black Star Promos included in the Fall 2019 Collector Chest, released November 22, 2019. In Japan, it was available as a SM-P Promotional card, and together with a promotional Mewtwo disk, were given to the first three million attendees of Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution in cinemas. The Japanese print features the movie logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration.

Trivia

Origin

This card is based on Mewtwo from the original series of the Pokémon anime, which was coerced into wearing a suit of armor to battle for Giovanni. The armor is based on the one depicted in Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution.
