This card was included in the Silver Tempest expansion with artwork by Masakazu Fukuda, first released in the Japanese Paradigm Trigger expansion. A SWSH Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Silver Tempest with new artwork by Nisota Niso, available in the Silver Tempest Build & Battle Box. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing Prerelease Tournaments. In Japan, this print was one of the S-P Promotional cards available as part of the Find the Legendary Pokémon! Lugia Get Challenge, which began on October 21, 2022. Customers who purchased at least one Paradigm Trigger booster box at participating stores would receive a Promo Card Pack containing one of five possible cards. The promotion ran for as long as stocks lasted.[1] The SWSH Black Star Promo is Line Holofoil and features the Silver Tempest expansion logo, whereas the S-P Promo is Mirror Holofoil and features the Find the Legendary Pokémon! Lugia Get Challenge campaign logo.
