User talk:Kuki
From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
Welcome
Welcome to Bulbapedia, Kuki!
As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:
- For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
- The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
- The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
- The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
- The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
- On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
- The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
- If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
- A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
- For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
- If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Kuki/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
- A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem, can be found here.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here! Tina δ♫ 17:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

My Ideal Teams for Anime Characters
On Fanfiction.net I am PokeShipper4EverMore. So far I have written 1 story for Pokemon called You Have Always Been The One[1]. It is PokeShipping. Basically, Ash and Misty are now a couple, happily living together in the Kanto region, so what's next for the young couple? Contains lots of Brunetteshipping, especially after chapter 17. In the beginning, I mention Ash's future team. Throughout the story, Misty's team is constantly mentioned and even updated with differences from the current point in the anime. May's team is also mentioned, but could change as of April 25th. Max is well into his journey, and he mentions his progress, as well as a lady friend of his. What Pokemon did they catch? U gotta read 2 find out!--Kuki 20:08, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Signing
I've noticed you rarely sign your comments on talk pages. Whenever you leave a message on a talk page, be sure you sign it with four tildes once you're done (~~~~). You can also push the second-to-last button on the control panel above the text box, which will automatically write --~~~~, which gives you a dash with your signature after it. Like this. --Martonimos 22:42, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

May's Wartortle
Yeah it's gonna evolve as has been announced, but remember the rule: it doesn't happen until the episode airs. Period. TTEchidna 00:09, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Also, let's not forget link templates next time for Pokémon species. TTEchidna 00:11, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Again, dude, freaking seriously use the link templates when linking Pokémon species! TTEchidna 23:32, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Use the link templates, please. Instead of linking to Magikarp, link to Magikarp! Tina☆♫ 17:26, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah. Not only are they convenient, but they come second-nature as soon as you use them enough. I mean, I have a harder time linking to Aipom's Double Team than Aipom's Double Team, because I'm used to linking all Pokémon with
pand all moves withm. And some link templates exist simply to shorten things... like Ruby and Sapphire can do... Or Route 130. Just look at the shortlinks page. TTEchidna 00:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Preview Button
You don't have to save changes twice just to check if a link to a certain article exists. There's a button next to "Save page" called "Show preview" that you can use for purposes such as checking for links. I'd adivse you use it as opposed to making consecutive edits for a purpose that could be easier to achieve by previewing. --Shiningpikablu252 16:04, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please, use the button "Show preview" before saving an edit. It's not good to see hundreds of edits on the "Recent changes" just for a minor thing. Use the Preview button.. Thank you. うずまきハルカ 18:05, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Link Templates
Please use the link templates when linking to Pokémon names and other stuff. For example, Budew instead of just Budew. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.
For a complete crash course on link templates, look at the shortlinks. --Shiningpikablu252 16:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Delibird
I appreciate your dedication to trivia, but please know that it needs to be unique. As is the case with Delibird, many Pokémon have similar sprites for different generations. When adding to a trivia section, ask yourself a few questions: A. Is this important enough to be included in an article? B. Do people already know this? In other words, is it obvious? C. Is this unique to the character, etc. the article is focused on?
Thanks! --ニョロトノ666 18:08, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Talk pages
..please, do not advertise randomly on talk pages that have nothing to do with the article's subject just saying 'hay guyz lolz read my fanficktion' and the like. Tina☆♫ 04:25, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Signature
Signing your talk page contributions with "C'mon! Sing and dance with Piplup!" and the like is unacceptable. See this page for more details. In essence, your signature needs to reflect your username in some way. For instance, mine says "Politoed666," but the "Politoed" is in Japanese! Thanks for your cooperation. --ニョロトノ666 17:00, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
DP077
If we just do Wartortle, it's a disambiguation page. PL12 18:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Link templates
Use them. I don't care if they don't look right, they're what Bulbapedia uses. Please stop reverting things that people are telling you are right. For example without link templates, the phrase "Mewtwo uses Psychic on May and her Skitty," all of those link to disambiguation pages. However, if you type it "Mewtwo uses Psychic on May and her Skitty," those will link to the proper pages. Also, edit warring is frowned upon here at Bulbapedia. Please don't do it. --PAK Man Talk 19:01, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter. The link template used for Wartortle was Wartortle, which links to the page about the Pokémon Wartortle. You were linking to the disambiguation page Wartortle. --PAK Man Talk 20:22, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Besides, even if it ends up proven that the Wartortle is not May's, just plain Wartortle would still remain a disambiguation page. After all, we still have Gary's starter and an Orange Islands firefighting team on it already...--Shiningpikablu252 20:26, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Stop yelling
Will you quit yelling at people in your summaries? So Politoed666 said Energy Ball instead of Energy Ball. It's an honest mistake. I do it all the time. If you would of done it right in the first place we wouldn't of had the problem. How many times have you been told to use link templates already? --☆ケンジガール 00:54, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

No deleting comments.
You deleted Sonicflames's comment on Talk:Gold (Special) because it was "Not signed, ot given a headline, and has bad grammar". You can't do that. Talk pages aren't main pages; not anyone can edit just anything. If you spot an unsigned comment, mark it with User Name. If a comment uses bad grammar, tough. It's the user's responsibility to improve it, not yours. And you certainly don't get to delete it for that reason. If he starts using bad grammar on main pages, call him on it, but until then, just sit tight. --Martonimos((Talk)) 05:26, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I AM A BOY!!!!
- Who said I watch too much KND!?!lol ok mabye I do... and try to spell better it's HARD to understand what you are saying CoolPikachu!
- I've never heard of KND, whatever it is. I can't speak for others, but I've always thought of Internet speak as very feminine. That's not to say I assume people who use proper grammar are male; i just think ppl who rite leik this r grls. No offense meant, of course. --Martonimos((Talk)) 21:40, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
First of all, KND is what kids abbreviate from Codename: Kids Next Door. Second I am the spelling bee champ of my middle school for the last 3 years (see leik in the last post!)! I always use proper grammar, but I leave out vowels to make it easier, but still keep the pronunciation.--KukiTalk 21:59, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- I iz terrible at typing, and I have thought of Internet and Game speak as masculne. HAve you ever played Halo 3 on live. All you can hear is guys speaking l33t speak or abbrevating words, or in Warcraft, where no offense, but I tend to run into more male characters than female....C is for Cookie 01:04, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

The Pokérap
Please do not change the episode numbers in the Trivia section. EP057 was when the Pokérap last aired, and thus the end of the first season. An out-of-order EP052 was where Pikachu's Jukebox, and thus the second season, began. Your edit insists that EP084, EP085, EP086, EP087, and anything EP081 and before played the Pokérap and not Pikachu's Jukebox. Change the numbers again and you'll be blocked. --Shiningpikablu252 15:32, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
