Wynaut?'s first encounter with Pokémon

I first learned of Pokémon form the anime, then after further research I found out that it was based on a video game. Unfortunately my mom was against video games, and so I learned as much as I could about the Pokémon world. Then one day I received a ROM from a friend of mine containing Pokémon Emerald. That was my first game, my first Pokémon was a Torchic named Scorch, I trained him and trained him, but I never managed to beat the elite four... Then finally one day I decided I could save up for a DS... My mom wouldn't stop me if I payed for it myself. And so a few days later I received a used crimson DS lite, and bought my first game Pokémon Pearl.

Wynaut?'s current relationship with Pokémon

Unlike in Emerald, when I first started playing Pearl version, I knew what I was doing. I was careful to make sure my Pokémon had decent EV's and Moves, I actually managed to beat the elite four, with the help of my Infernape and a Palkia a friend had loaned me (I don't like wasting my time with legendaries, I prefer to catch and train pokémon at lower levels). I started obsessively breeding Wynaut and Kecleon, and became a regular in the Underground. Though as Platinum's U.S. release was just around the corner, I couldn't wait. As a birthday gift to myself I bought the game about 2 weeks after it came out (a bit late, I know). I had a different plan for Platinum though, instead of using a starter, I decided to use Rotom, since it is available so early the version. I also had obtained a Secret Key, which was the main reason for my choice of Rotom. My first Platinum Pokémon (turtwig) soon became merely support for my powerful Electric/Ghost special-sweeper. Now, having owned the game for quite a while, I've continued my frequent trips to the underground, I've started breeding Porygon, so as to find one with a decent nature, after 30 or more of them, I still don't have one that's the right nature. Interestingly, I'm naming every Porygon "DARWIN" (after the name of the Macintosh UNIX OS) followed by the number of Porygon its hatching had led to. i.e. DARWIN 1 (my first hatched) DARWIN 2...
