Born May 4, 1987 in Israel, Gal Peter (גל פטר. Gal means Wave in Hebrew. It's a common name in Israel) is an average guy. He is currently 20, and lives in Herzliya, which is a city on the coast of Israel not far from Tel-Aviv.
When Pokémon finally reached Israel in late 1999, Gal was instantly hooked, and electAbuzzzz was born (nicknamed buzzzzy by most friends in the community).
Gal joined the Israeli Defence Forces as the law requires in July 2005. He is home almost every day, though (excepting when he has to stay on duty), and is therefore able to contribute to Bulbapedia almost daily. He will be released in July 2008, when he finishes his three years of service.

Prince of the Island
I have written a long fanfiction story titled Prince of the Island. It tells the story of four young teenage Pokémon trainers who get shipwrecked on a uncharted island not far from the Orange Archipelago. The plot follows the kids - Jonny Ross, Jade Star, Jimmy Richards and Jasmine Persian - through their years of surviving on the strange island, and also tells the stories and backstories of their families and friends back home.
Setting
The story takes place in a world that is a combination of the real world and the Pokémon world - my own vision of the Pokémon world. All Pokémon regions exist as they are, in the Pacific Ocean of our world as we know it. "Vaporeon", The ship on which the kids arrived to the island, for example, was in the middle of a cruise from San Francisco to Auckland, stopping at Mandarin Island; Jasmine's father is a Pokémonologist from the New-York University of Pokémon Study; and so on.
Characters
All characters in the story are fictional, but several characters from other Pokémon canons do make cameo appearances, among them are Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, Luana, Travis, Captain Stern, Quincy T. Quackenpoker, Professor Ivy, Team Aqua, Team Snagem and Lucy Fleetfoot.
The story has four main characters:
- Jonathan "Jonny" Ross - Jonathan was raised by his father, Jack Ross, the captain and owner of a ship named "Vaporeon". He spent most of his life in the sea, which is why most of his Pokémon are Water-type, including a Poliwag, a Staryu, a Tentacruel, a Buizel a Krabby and a Farfetch'd.
- Jade Star - Jade was raised by her father, Joseph Star, the navigator of "Vaporeon" and a chikdhood friend of Jack Ross. Her mother, Julia, the sister of Kumquat Island Gym Leader Luana, died when Jade was a baby. She and Jonathan are extremely close friends, having grown up together with pretty much nobody else their age around. Like Jonathan, her party contains mostly Water-type Pokémon: a Wingull, a Marill, a Dewgong, a Shellos, a Remoraid and a Mantyke.
- James "Jimmy" Richards - Jim is the son of Joel Richards, a wealthy American business man, and Janet Grey, a former Pokémon Watcher. He has a younger sister named Joan, and after his assumed death his mother gives birth to a boy she names Jamie after him. At the time he arrived on the island he had with him six of his favorite Pokémon: his Skarmory, Geodude, Magnemite, Donphan, Tauros and Gabite.
- Jasmine Persian - Jasmine is a very passionate Pokémon trainer from New-York City. She is the daughter of Professor Joshua Persian, a famous Pokémonologist, and Jacqueline Toledero, a gifted artist. She has an older brother named Jacob. She brought to the island a Ninetales, a Ponyta, a Smeargle, an Espeon, a Kirlia and a Riolu.
This user has a shiny Ponyta.
