Roster

It is not known yet that the games will have 35 playable characters. The number might be less or more. Chomper4 (talk) 11:53, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Title

Videos on the Smash Bros. YouTube channel (example) unmistakably do not include spaces around the slash. Why are we putting spaces there in the article title? --SnorlaxMonster 12:46, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

To Chomper4, Masahiro Sakurai has said that that will be no more than 35 characters as shown in this Official Nintendo Magazine article Smash Bros Wii U may not feature more characters. To SnorlaxMonster, when this page was originally a red hyperlink in the list of Pokémon spin-off games it said Super Smash Bros. for 3DS / Wii U. It could be changed now if that was an error. Water Max (talk) 10:52, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

  • Nothing other than stuff shown in screenshots is set in stone. Chomper4 (talk) 11:54, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Move titles from April 8th, 2014 Nintendo Direct (Super Smash Bros. 4 Edition)

Um, pardon me, where are all of the move names for Poké Ball Pokémon (the ones that were featured in the ["Super Smash Bros. 4" Nintendo Direct of April 2014] but haven't had move names confirmed elsewhere) coming from? Are we just going/guessing the moves by eye and/or basing guesses off of the moves used in past iterations of Super Smash Bros.? It's arguable that a portion of the moves are fairly "apparent" in the presentation, but I don't see any explicit confirmation.. Fenyx4 (talk) 01:19, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

Kalos Pokémon League stage possibility

To add more evidence for the "Kalos Elite Four" stage that was briefly visible in the SSB4 Nintendo Direct presentation, below are two posts mentioning the potential "Kalos Elite Four" stage (containing the applicable pictures):

As I'm guessing that the above two posts are perceived as unofficial/secondhand sources (by Bulbapedia standards, at least), similar visuals can be viewed between 38:21 and 38:25 of the Nintendo Direct presentation shown on April 8th, 2014, during Greninja's gameplay footage segment. Poké Ball Possibilities and Charizard

In Charizard's trailer, it was shown that there were several Pokémon coming out of the sky from Poké Balls. Some of them were already confirmed to be Poké Ball Pokémon, and others have not. This has led to some people believing that they are all Poké Ball Pokémon, and while I agree that it is incredibly likely, we don't actually know for sure, I don't believe. Unless someone wants to find a source that says otherwise, this is just speculation, so I'm gonna undo it. --GoldenSandslash15 (talk) 02:43, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Actually, never mind. According to SmashWiki, supposedly there have been official screenshots showing these guys. Sorry. --GoldenSandslash15 (talk) 02:47, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
Undo what? We don't list any Pokemon that isn't confirmed yet. We are keeping the others spoiled just in case. Ataro (talk) 03:56, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
Well Sakurai posted this a few days ago. His Miiverse post. I think that should answer your question about the ones in the Greninja/Charizard trailer. ----NateVirus(Talk|Contributions) 18:40, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Online Play

Just a heads up, I recently heard that on the With Anyone option on Online Play that the Mii Fighter is prohibited from use. I would like to keep that information off of this page until more a more reliable source is found. -Tyler53841 (talk) 20:35, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

A more reliable source than the official site? [1] SeanWheeler (talk) 20:44, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. -Tyler53841 (talk) 20:48, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

Genesect

Since Genesect is one of the Poké Ball Pokémon, are we allowed to add it or we need sources first? --Cinday123 (Talk) 10:04, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Poké Ball Descriptions

Please update this section with the new details shown on the official site. If we can't copy the text directly, make sure to include all the info in the rewording. I wish I could clean up the wording here too (such as the grammatically-incorrect "get surrounded by an aura which boosts launch power"), but the page is locked. —TheVeryBest 20:46, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Leaked Characters

According to the the IGN News on Youtube via this link [2] the following new characters have been confirmed through a leak; Bowser Jr., Dark Pit, and Duck Hunt (actually the dog from that game), while more returning characters are confirmed, Ganondorf, Falco, Mr. Game and Watch, Dr. Mario, Ness, R.O.B., Jigglypuff, and Wario. If any administrators wish to view this link and see if it is viable to add this information at this time go right ahead but I will understand and agree if anyone wishes to wait. -Tyler53841 (talk) 00:02, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

There were streams confirming those characters, as some people got their hands on some copies a day early. The proper release is just half a day away as I type this, so it should be close enough to add them in, especially since there was viable footage to back them up. Berrenta (talk) 03:00, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
To top it off, other sites are already posting this information such as the Super Mario Wiki, one of Bulbapedia's affiliates and Wikipedia so it wouldn't matter at this point if it gets posted now or on the official date. -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:40, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
SmashWiki, another affiliate, seems to be covering them quite a lot as well. As the roster has been confirmed, I'll go ahead and add the remaining characters now. Berrenta (talk) 12:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Goldeen can also appear in the Master Ball.

I've had it happen to me a few times when playing and sometimes when I get a master ball and expect it to be a legendary, its a goldeen instead. I've noticed that the page on smash 4 doesn't list goldeen as a pokemon that appears in the master ball while others do and I just wanted to let you know. --Meloetta'sbiggestfan (talk) 09:25, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

This page does list Goldeen.
"Master Balls will only contain Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon, Zoroark, and Goldeen. Several of these Pokémon must be unlocked first through special requirements before they can be summoned by the Master Ball."
Which part of the page do you believe should list it but doesn't? --SnorlaxMonster 09:40, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

My bad, I wasn't reading the part about it containing Zoroark and Goldeen.--Meloetta'sbiggestfan (talk) 09:42, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

smash tour

may you please add the pokemon in smash tour? --Valehd (tAlk) 16:57, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

I think we should. Will check SmashWiki and see which Pokémon are listed. Then we could list them on the page. Berrenta (talk) 14:25, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

DKWiki link swap

Looks like I can't edit this page yet, so can someone change the DKWiki links on Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to instead point to the Super Mario Wiki? The Donkey Kong Wiki is currently in the process of merging with the Super Mario Wiki, so the links need to be changed. Alex95 (talk) 16:02, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

I see that's been done, so thanks! Alex95 (talk) 18:12, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
