Pokemon Pinball

In the first Pinball game Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pidgey, Rattata, Nidoran (Male), Poliwag and Tentacool can be caught in Pallet Town, in the Red Zone, I believe this should be in the article, but I don't know where. Any suggestions, or is it to petty? --Spriteit 13:23, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Perhaps in the trivia. It is more of a main game article. Maybe on another page, like, say the Pokémon Pinball page itself.--Clarky13 13:28, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Sign

In FR/LG, sign says "Shades of your journey await!" In G/S/C however, it says, "A Tranquil Setting of Peace & Purity." Which should we use? ht14 22:07, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

I say "Shades of your journey await!" It refers to present-day Pallet, not 3 years later or whatever. |3urn 57R1K3 22:26, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Ok, that's pushing it. Your theory suggests that G/S/C and D/P/Pt takes place in the future... ht14 22:28, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, apparently, GSC does. DPPt has nothing to do with Pallet. |3urn 57R1K3 22:31, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
I'll agree with that (about the D/P/Pt thing), but that still doesn't answer my initial question: which sign should we use? ht14 22:33, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Um, both? At the moment, though, we lack a GSC sign template, so until someone makes one let's just go with the FRLG. It is possible to have two signs though. — THE TROM — 23:18, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Labels?

Hey I was wondering if we could place labels on the maps. That way if some new person who came here for maps would be able to know where certan buildings other than pokémon centers and marts and gyms. Mario Man

What else is there that can't be put in the article? The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 00:37, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Sarcasm is very helpful. |>H1|2357R1K3 00:44, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
If you're talking to me, I'm being serious. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 00:47, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Let me answer for you. "Well, that's your idea. Go make a suggestion to the leader of Project Locations or Project Cities and Towns. They're the ones who consider it." |>H1|2357R1K3 00:52, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Mandarin Chinese Town Name Meaning

I think the names listed for this town in Mandarin Chinese (眞新鎮/真新镇) would mean along the lines of "Truly New Town". I researched it a bit and used my small amount of knowledge of the language and that's at least a close definition if not the actual one. Any input or corrections? - JWhitt 13:01, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

The only ones I'm positive on are that the middle character in both names (both being the same) would mean "new" and that the last character on both names mean "town", despite those two being different. Its the first character on both and the actual structure of the name that get me, as I don't have much knowledge into actual grammatical forms in Mandarian such as adjectives. - JWhitt 13:06, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Generation IV art

is this good enough? a:File:Pallet Town Generation IV.jpg --Darknesslover5000 17:12, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

It should be png, not jpg. Also, do you make these yourself? If not, have you the permission to use them? UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:20, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
I find 'em on Google so no I don't make 'em.--Darknesslover5000 17:22, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Then, if you haven't contacted the author and gained a permission, you should not upload them. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:23, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
just trying to help--Darknesslover5000 17:24, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Don't Google for the HGSS maps if you don't have the actual game to check if they're real or not.. I'm not up to Pallet Town so I can't check, but you should really verify if they're real or just sprited before posting. →Tinā 17:26, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
like I said I was just trying to help out. --Darknesslover5000 17:27, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
my goal is to get everything I can uploaded to Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver style--Darknesslover5000 02:24, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Brendon, why are you using the incomplete HG/SS picture as the header picture? The header picture needs to be complete, like the one that Darknesslover5000 put just above this, except a .png, not a .jpg. --Oz 09:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Name

Masara town? Is that just a Johto thing, because personally I don't really like (let alone have) any Johto region games. Where is it called 'Masara town'? Origami is math for the hands. -Martin Grant, MathPath 00:29, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

That's the name of the town in Japanese. --Pokemaster97 00:30, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Red and Blue are the two other trainers

Professor Oak in the anime is stated that two other trainers took Charmander and Bulbasuar. Gary was shown to have gotten squirtle in the anime, and Ash got Pikachu. Blue starting pokemon in the manga from professor Oak is Charmander, while Red is bulbasuar. Coincidence ? I don't think so. Ash and Gary are based loosely on Red and Blue in the game, while the other two are direct homage to red, and blue from the manga. - unsigned comment from Shonenhikada (talkcontribs)

Old Rod Fishing

I am training my newly hatched Eevee in Pokémon LeafGreen and the area around Pallet town is where the lower level Pokémon are. I wasn't having a whole lot of luck on Route 1, and so I decided to do some fishing. The first Magikarp I caught in the water in Pallet Town was at level 10. I thought I was going crazy, so I decided to fish some more (still using the old rod) and caught a few level 5 Magikarps and two Magikarp at level 6. So I decided to check out what Bulbapedia said about fishing in Pallet Town. It is listed that only level 5 Magikarp can be caught with the old rod. I Google searched "Pallet Town fishing in LeafGreen" and found one site that said Magikarp above level 5 can be found with the old rod. So, I am asking for this to be verified and then changed on the Pallet Town page. --Cyal (LeafGreen&Emerald) (talk) 23:03, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

The levels listed in our location articles are added solely from in-game experiences - the game guides don't list levels. They are liable to be missing levels which are available. Please do change them to match what you have found in-game. Werdnae (talk) 23:26, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
