On the number of Contests

In the Trivia section, it states: "There are 270 participants in the Grand Festival, which would mean that there had to have been at least 1,350 Contests held throughout the Kanto region." The Grand Festival is at least heavily implied to be an annual event, and it seems highly unlikely that all 1,350 Contests that occurred in Kanto happened in a single year. This suggests to me that Ribbons from previous Contest circuits can be used to qualify for the current Grand Festival (e.g. if May had failed to win the Mulberry Contest, she could use the four Ribbons she already had to help qualify for the next year's Kanto Grand Festival). The later introduction of the Wallace Cup's Aqua Ribbon, which can be used to qualify for a Grand Festival in any region, seems to support this.
