This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 and Legendary Collection reprint sets, which were only released outside of Japan.
Trivia
- Early print runs of the card had the HP read "HP 70" instead of "70 HP".
Origin
Stiffen is similar to Harden, a move in the Pokémon games that Metapod can learn. Stun Spore comes directly from the games, but Metapod can not learn it. The card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue Versions, though it is slightly reworded.
