Game Boy Advance Video
Game Boy Advance Video, also referred to as GBA Video, is a series of Game Boy Advance cartridges that contain cartoon episodes or movies that can be viewed on the Game Boy Advance. It includes the Pokémon GBA Video series, a collection of four GBA Video cartridges, each containing two episodes of Pokémon the Series.
The cartridges were intentionally made incompatible with the Game Boy Player so that users could not record the shows to media such as blank VHS tapes or DVDs.[1]
Names
The Game Boy Advance Video[2] is also known as Nintendo GBA Video,[3][4] Game Boy Video,[1] or GBA Video.[3][5][6][7]
The Pokémon cartridges are referred to as the Pokémon GBA Video series.[4]

The first cartridges were released in May 2004 in North America and contained episodes from Nickelodeon shows.[11] In June 2004, the first two volumes of Pokémon the Series were released in North America.
Later Game Boy Advance Video releases included Disney Channel shows, other anime such as Dragon Ball GT and Yu-Gi-Oh!, and the DreamWorks films Shrek, Shrek 2 and Shark Tale.
The Pokémon GBA Video cartridges were released in the United States and Australia. In the United States, they were sold with a MSRP of US$19.99.[3] The Pokémon cartridges were published by Nintendo, unlike most other Game Boy Advance Video cartridges which were developed and published by Majesco Entertainment. All of the Pokémon GBA Video volumes use the same title screen, which simply has the Pokémon logo and copyright notices.

Trivia
- Unlike some GBA Video collections, which include franchise-specific manuals, the Pokémon GBA Video cartridges include a generic manual (ID code AGB-MP-USA) that does not mention the Pokémon franchise or available episodes.
- This manual is in English, French, and Spanish, although the animation audio is only available in English.
- The Pokémon GBA Video cartridges use the AGB-E01-40 printed circuit board.
