Devolution Spray (Japanese: 退化スプレー Degeneration Spray) is an Item card. It was first released in Base Set as a Trainer card.

Choose 1 of your own Pokémon in play and a Stage of Evolution. Discard all Evolution cards of that Stage or higher attached to that Pokémon. That Pokémon is no longer Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed, Poisoned, or anything else that might be the result of an attack (just as if you had evolved it).
 
Do Nothing  
At the beginning of your turn, flip a coin. If heads, you can do nothing during your turn. If tails, your opponent can do nothing during his or her next turn.

Devolve 1 of your evolved Pokémon and put the highest stage Evolution card on it into your hand. (That Pokémon can't evolve this turn.)
 
Do Nothing  
At the beginning of your turn, flip a coin. If heads, you can do nothing during your turn. If tails, your opponent can do nothing during his or her next turn.
You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).


Release information

This card was first released in Base Set, originating from Expansion Pack in Japan, with artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi. It was later released as an Item card with an updated effect in the Dragons Exalted expansion, originating from the Dragon Blade expansion, with new artwork by Ryo Ueda. This print was later released as one of the BW-P Promotional cards, one of four included as inserts with the January 2013 issue of V Jump magazine, released on November 21, 2012. This print also has the V Jump logo in the bottom left corner.
