Mat

A mat is a type of item exclusive to Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald used to decorate the player's Secret Base. They seem to be the Generation III equivalents of carpets.

Small Mats

These eleven mats have special effects when the player steps on them:

• C Low Note Mat - plays C note - 500
• D Note Mat - plays D note - 500
• E Note Mat - plays E note - 500
• F Note Mat - plays F note - 500
• G Note Mat - plays G note - 500
• A Note Mat - plays A note - 500
• B Note Mat - plays B note - 500
• C High Note Mat - plays C note - 500
• Glitter Mat - glitters - 2000
• Jump Mat - makes you jump in place - 2000
• Spin Mat - makes you spin in place - 2000

The note mats are available at the Slateport City marketplace, and the other three are available at the Lilycove Dept. Store.

Large Mats

These seven mats each have a design based off a move and can hold up to five dolls or cushions:

• Surf Mat - 4000
• Thunder Mat - 4000
• Fire Blast Mat - 4000
• Powder Snow Mat - 4000
• Attract Mat - 4000
• Fissure Mat - 4000
• Spikes Mat - 4000
