I'm not that good at making tables, so I will just list them here.

What Pokémon are available? Are they good?

Storyline

How good is the storyline? Does it have a moral?

Pokémon Ruby

Pokémon

7.5/10

A total of 202 Pokémon in the Hoenn Dex. Most are weak and useless (especially in early routes) but there are some strong Pokémon that you can get later, like Salamence. The Starters are great, and in my point of view, the best out of all regions. But what bothers me is that you can only get 2 legendaries (Groudon and Rayquaza) and five (with the Legendary Golems) if you go through a hell of Digging, Pushing rocks, and catching Wailord and Relicanth.

Gameplay

6.5/10

There's a few major glitches, like the Berry glitch. However, all but the berry glitch can only be executed if you want it to. The music is decent. And graphics are, of course, not as good as the DS's.

Design

6.5/10

There are places that aren't designed very well, for example, you have to take on the Petalburg Gym right after you take on the Lavaridge Gym, because there's no where else to go. The Sootopolis Gym is also very annoying because you have to go all the way to route 128 and Seafloor Cavern before you can go there. Many people got stuck there.

Storyline

6/10

Basically just "Good beats evil". Not very interesting. Team Magma's plan is take over the world. The player just have to defeat grunts in various places, and Admins and Maxie in Mt. Chimney and Seafloor Cavern.

Total: 26.5/40

Pokémon Pearl

Pokémon

7/10

151 Pokémon. You can get a few strong Pokémon at the start, like Shinx and Starly. The Starters are not very good, probably tied last with Kanto. You can catch a decent amount of legendaries, like Palkia, and the lake guardians.

Gameplay

7/10

There's also a few major glitches, like the Pomeg glitch and the Surf glitch, but all won't interfere much with the game. The music is nice, and in my point of view, the wild Pokémon encountered music is even better than the one in Gen 5! Graphics are good too.

Design

6.5/10

The worst design in the game is the fact that the Elite 4 and Champion's Pokémon are so overleveled. I first discovered this fact in Platinum, but Pearl is worse. Anyways, I have a way of dealing with it. Just take 3 battling Pokémon and catch 2-3 Hm slaves to the end!

Storyline

6/10

Nearly the same as Ruby! Nothing special.

Total: 26.5/40

Pokémon Platinum

Pokémon

7.5/10

Get credit for all those extra Pokémon from Pearl.

Gameplay

7/10

Nearly the same as Pearl.

Design

6/10

Same as Pearl, but the Elite 4 and Champion have lower levels, which gives it credit. But Distortion World, which adds a stupid little mini-game to it, easily offsets the credit.

Storyline

6.5/10

Although Distortion World is a nuisance, it adds to the storyline a lot.
