Revision as of 23:22, 21 July 2015
This is CycloneGU's sandbox area to work on projects intended for mainspace. This page is meant for individual elements that may be used in an existing mainspace article. It will not contain projects that are themselves their own pages intended to be moved to mainspace. Feel free to discuss anything being done here on the talk page for this sandbox. |
Please feel free to edit this page. Major changes to this page should be discussed on the talk page. |
Pokémon Shuffle
Working on a table here for possible data use (not direct copy) at User:Abcboy/Skill. Borrowing the Poképedia layout to put some data together. Infobulle template replaced with our identical "tt" template. Currently in original French with table cells coloured as at the intended target page. Will be converted to a working English that can then be used to update the target page as needed, after which this may be removed from my Sandbox.

Miscellaneous
Date Formulas
Efforts are being made to clock things like Genesect's Drive usage, Shaymin's Forme appearances, and even Unown's letter selection. Currently, experiments are focused on Arceus's Plate selection. 18 plates means 18 different Types of Arceus. It's been determined that they cycle in a specific order and are the same for everyone on a given day.
For instance, a Normal type Arceus appeared on April 30, 2015. Utilizing that information, it's possible to predict exactly what type of Arceus will appear on a given day, and thus that information can be cycled in the article. Here are some examples.
Date | Days since April 30, 2015 |
Dividing by 18 (rounded down) |
Division Remainder |
Arceus Type |
---|---|---|---|---|
May 5, 2015 | 5 days | 0 | 5 | Rock-type |
May 17, 2015 | 17 days | 0 | 17 | Fairy-type |
May 18, 2015 | 18 days | 1 | 0 | Normal-type |
July 1, 2015 | 62 days | 3 | 8 | Steel-type |
December 31, 2015 | 245 days | 13 | 11 | Grass-type |
Today | 3303 days | 183 | 9 | Fire-type |
Table explanation column by column:
- The date being tested (the table will always use today's date upon implementation).
- The difference between the tested date and April 30, 2015 (number of days); April 30 is known to be Normal type, and as that's first in the list, it's a good representation of the 0 figure.
- The difference in days is divided by 18, the number of Types. This information is automatically rounded down using the "floor" expression, automatically removing the remainder from the result and leaving only the part that divided evenly.
- The "floor" expression is remultiplied by 18 (getting figures like 36, 54, 72, 90; i.e., divisible by 18). The total is then deducted from the original difference in days. Therefore, using the December 31 example, taking the division of 13 and multiplying by 18 gets 234, which is deducted from 245, resulting in 11.
- Using the table presented below, the type is determined.
The switch is currently in operation at Bastion of Beginnings. Other projects have delayed other switch testing, which will eventually be attempted.
Side Games Layouts
Just a copy of the new Side Games layout. If Gen. V is converted before I get to adding data for anything not from Kalos, I'll convert this to an "addition" format that will just be appended and edited on each page. I have documents with all of the game data I've collected to add to each section. Gen. VI is already in the "addition" format, though it may now be redundant as everything appears in Pokémon Rumble U up to Genesect and, therefore, a new cell is needed anyway.
