== Total Sinnoh patches? ==

I work out the total number of Loamy Soil patches in Sinnoh (according to the table) to be 106, not 96, but am unsure if the error lies with the Total Patches at the bottom of the table or with some of the numbers for each location. I added information for the 4 patches on Route 224 yesterday, which should make the total 100 if the bottom figure was correct beforehand.
I'll go through Sinnoh and manually recount and check if necessary, unless this can be cleared up quickly. {{u|Raylax}}

Loamy soil seems to work slightly different in generation IV than it did in Generation III, based on what I've seen in the game, The soil changes color to indicate how moist it is, in three phases. A dark brown for spots where berries have just been planted or freshly watered soil, An orange color for soil that has dried a little, and pale, sand-like soil when it dries out completely. The rate the soil dries at, as far as I can tell, is twice the rate the plant grows a step, meaning berries need to be watered twice as much for the maximum yield, which also seems to have increased.

Also the drying seems based on when the plant was last watered, rather than being in synch with growth.

I'll try and test some of this tomorrow. Kendai

Total Sinnoh patches?

I work out the total number of Loamy Soil patches in Sinnoh (according to the table) to be 106, not 96, but am unsure if the error lies with the Total Patches at the bottom of the table or with some of the numbers for each location. I added information for the 4 patches on Route 224 yesterday, which should make the total 100 if the bottom figure was correct beforehand. I'll go through Sinnoh and manually recount and check if necessary, unless this can be cleared up quickly. Raylax

It could be an error with the summation; the page lists 106 but only counts 96. Someone may have forgotten to carry the a one. -- evkl (need to talk?) 16:59, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I've completed a full manual retread of Sinnoh and have ammended the table with correct vales - added info for missing patches on various routes (particularily around the Battle Zone) and have reached a total of 118 patches of loamy soil. I think the table is now complete. Raylax

Soft soil in Generation VI

Do we have soft soil in Generation VI, if we do, can we add more information about this? --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:24, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
