The warden's name is Slowpoke? I'd like to know where that came from. - MTC

>Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. Check the Safari Zone. "Warden Slowpoke is runing a promotion campaign right now." "We nicknamed the Warden Slowpoke. You know, he has that vacant look like a Slowpoke." "Warden Slowpoke is very knowledgable about Pokemon" etc.

Other Pokemon

Wobbuffet is available in the Hoenn Safari Zone too, in Emerald at least. Can anyone confirm/deny whether or not it's in Ruby/Sapphire? Same for Girafarig.

Both are there and only there in R/S. It's just those in the National Dex that were added for Emerald. --FabuVinny 21:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Marill?

Since marill is available from as early as route 104 in Emerald, is it really worth putting it in the list of pokemon available in the extra areas of the Hoenn safari zone? -- Wiseblade 16:57, 15 August 2006

Disambiguation

Shouldn't we disambiguate between the two Safari Zones using parentheses? As far as I'm aware, neither the Kanto nor the Hoenn Safari Zones are called the "Kanto Safari Zone" or the "Hoenn Safari Zone" in-game, which would make the use of "Safari Zone (Kanto)" and "Safari Zone (Hoenn)" more accurate. --TMF T - C 05:04, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

It looks better in inline linking, among other things. - 振霖T 05:59, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Unused Safari Zone data in G/S

The Safari Zone was actually once planned to be used in G/S/C, however, Nintendo scrapped the idea. The maps still remain in the game, however, you won't be able to view them unless you own the ROM. (Which, for legal reasons, I will not provide.) -- Bloodstar

I think it deserves a mention. Don't know how much you could say about a beta area, though... --TTEchidna 22:05, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

There truly is a safari zone in G/S, but you need gameshark and theres no pokemon programmed into it. watch this video, it shows someone inside the pokemon G/S safari zone: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wqVtRrMnTy0 --Zakuro x Cynthia 18:15, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

oh my that is probably the wirdest thing in pokémon i've ever seen.UkiraGrace611 18:05, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Disambig time?

The three Safari Zones there are (yes, I'm including the Great Marsh) are getting their own full articles, why should we have a direct copy of them right here, anyway, or even a list of all of the Pokémon there? I think this should be just a disambig page, like Victory Road is. --TTEchidna 04:55, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

HGSS

I know this may not make sense, but here me out. I think we should make a page for the Johto Safari Zone Gasp . Mind you, the Johto Battle frontier has it's own page. And the same amount of information was release for both. Ik, it'll be addin more unneeded articles stubs to the list, but still. ŚĥîΠŶPî₭₳ĉĥŭ 01:33, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Disambiguation?

Why is this tagged as a disambiguation page? It's basically an article that acts as an overview of the subject while happening to also serve as a hub to the specific location articles and their mechanics. Compare to Research (GO), which isn't considered a disambiguation page but does a similar job. Landfish7 22:55, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

Bumping this. In my opinion, either the article should be reduced to basically just a list of Safari Zones, similar in style to Victory Road, or the disambig tag should be taken off and this should be treated as an article in its own right, where more specific details can stay in their respective articles, while this article can continue to act as an overview. Sounds reasonable, yes. (And I don't have a particular preference, so I guess feel free to do as you think fits.) Nescientist (talk) 17:14, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
