Talk:Key Stone
The Key Stone should have its own Article, or at the very least the two be combined into a Key Stone and Mega ring article.
Anyways, here's what the Key Stone Article could look like.
See, its varied from the Mega Ring and Mega Stone Articles, and there are key points that can be covered in the Key Stone Article that would be more cluttered in the other two articles Yamitora1 (talk) 09:13, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

- Most of what in the article could be added to the Key Stone article with some tweaking. And I do think it would make more sense that way- the Mega Ring isn't actually significant by itself, just as an object to hold the Key Stone, and it's not even the only sort that exists. Heck, Red doesn't even get a Ring or a holder of any kind, so the Origins section on this page doesn't actually belong here as it is. Yamiidenryuu (talk) 03:20, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Technically speaking, the Mega "Ring" is just an aesthetic prop that bears no other purpose then to conveniently hold the Key Stone. You take the venom out of a cobra, you just have a belt, you take the Key Stone out of the Mega Ring, you just have a piece of clothing or jewelry. Actually, I think it might be better to dissolve the Mega Ring article and turn it into the Key Stone Article. I mean unless the Mega Ring that the player has is somehow technologically aided to prevent accidental triggering or tune and amplify the Key Stone in some way. Key Stone
A Key Stone (Japanese: キーストーン Key Stone) is a small, marble-like stone with a stylized, Double Helix design within it. It is embedded into a bracelet, glove, necklace or other wearable accessory worn by some trainers in Pokémon X and Y. The Key Stone in conjunction with a Mega Stone is what allows Pokémon to Mega Evolve. It is roughly 1/8th the size of a Mega Stone.

Much like Mega Stones, the Key Stone has yet to officially debut in the main Pokémon anime series.
In Pokémon Origins
In the second episode of the Pokémon special mini-series Pokémon Origins, Mr. Fuji gave Red a Mega Stone and a Key Stone held in a box. Eventually Professor Oak suggested that Red hold onto the Key Stone and have Charizard hold onto the Mega Stone.
