By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --It's Funktastic~!話してください 13:34, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

You should really try to take the advice above to heart... With things like this simple mistake and your more than half dozen edits here, and other similar things, there is certainly room for improvement. Try to be more a bit more patient and judicious in your editing. It's not a race. =P Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:57, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --It's Funktastic~!話してください 13:34, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Linking.

Please remember that when you link to an anime episode, manga chapter, etc, you must make sure the link has two apostrophes on each side. So it's ''[[PS179|The Last Battle XIII]]'', not [[PS179|The Last Battle XIII]]. Ataro (talk) 10:49, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

Italics and chap template

Hey Animaltamer7, thanks for your help adding info about appearances of Pokémon in the Pokémon Adventures manga. However, just a quick note to make: you do not need to add italics when using the {{chap}} template as it is already embedded in the template. Simply use it as is. For instance, "It appeared in the {{chap|X & Y}}", which comes out as "It appeared in the X & Y arc" is perfectly fine. ht14 03:38, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

Linking to places.

Please, under no circumstances should you link to any place where you can read things illegally. It's...well, illegal, and against our rules. If you must link to the page, just upload it somewhere else. Ataro (talk) 09:46, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

Plagiarism

Hey Animaltamer7, thanks for trying to help out with PAORAS02; however, we do not tolerate plagiarism here, especially from other fansites. I noticed that the plot summary was pretty much what was written here. In the future, write your own summary of the article. Thanks~ ht14 02:15, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Try this./Subukan mo ito.

Hello Animaltamer7! When I saw you come from the Philippines in your userpage, I just created a new idea. Do you know the {{User en}} template? I just created a Filipino version of this. You can find it here: User tl. Like the original version, you can select from 0-N. You can use this usertag in your userpage. If my translation is wrong in my ongoing template, please correct it. Give it a try. Thank you!

Kumusta, Animaltamer7! Subukan mo. Salamat! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 03:20, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Sunbo

I've done everything I can for the page User:Animaltamer7/Sunbo. If you are satisfied with it try and it get it mainspaced. Glad I could be of help.--Rahl (talk) 00:02, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Sunbo page

You know you could just make a new page for Mew instead of writing over the article we made. Sunbo may get more importance later.--Rahl (talk) 13:46, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

Legendary Beasts

I think the page is good to go.--Rahl (talk) 19:59, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Arceus

I've done everything I can for the page.--Rahl (talk) 02:27, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Lysandre's Gyarados

A female Gyarados has not been seen in the anime, AFAIK, so ALL Gyarados (male and female) have the skin colored whiskers, regardless of if it's passed Gen IV. Both variant of the gender has to appear before we can be 100% sure, because the anime can do things differently to the games if they wanted to.--ForceFire 03:21, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

Legendary Trivia (Edited)

Ok, I still don't see how the theory that "there will probably eventually be a poison type legendary" overrides the fact that there isn't one right now. Like, going by that logic, we could look through the entire current list of legendary trivia and rule out a bunch of it.

"Ho-Oh is the only Generation II Legendary Pokémon who does not have a starring role in a movie." -"Eventually it will probably get a movie"

"Heatran is the only Legendary Pokémon that can be either gender." -"There will probably eventually be another two-gender legendary"

"Only Giratina, Lugia, Ho-Oh, and fused Kyurem have a battle theme that is shared with no other Pokémon." -"Eventually another pokemon will probably have a unique theme too"

It's a pretty relevant piece of info and I know everybody who's heard of it has been surprised and interested to hear it: and isn't that the point of good trivia? I'm going to add it back. Just because people have deleted it in the past doesn't mean it should stay off the page forever. - unsigned comment from Castformrain (talkcontribs)

There's no Bug type legendary, that's why it's not notable. And no, Genesect is a mythical Pokemon. Not a legendary.--ForceFire 05:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
^as what Force Fire said.Animaltamer708:21, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Okay, I changed the wording from "Legendary" to "Legendary or Mythical." This seems to be a valid categorization since the External Links at the bottom of every Legendary/Mythical pokemon's page is titled "Legendary and Mythical Pokemon" and includes both together. - unsigned comment from Castformrain (talkcontribs)

There being no Poison legendary Pokémon is irrelevant on the Mythical page and vice versa. Don't stretch trivia to make it notable, Poison is not the only type to lack a Mythical or Legendary Pokémon, several other types lack one or the other.--ForceFire 08:24, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

Comma splices

I had to clean up some of your recent edits to the Manga sections to some Pokémon as they contained comma splices, which are two independent phrases joined by a comma. Please try to avoid making errors like that. Thanks. Berrenta (talk) 04:12, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Solgaleo

Sorry, but I strongly disagree. I'll explain my reasoning here.

Here's two images to help us to compare:

We can see some obvious details in Solgaleo's design; like its paws resembling the suit's gloves and boots, the orange stripes and, of course, its face that is clearly a suit's visor, the most remarkable part in a space suit. It is also pure white, just like as the suits, pretty weird color choice to use on a Pokémon based on a Green alchemical lion. All of it while being a reference to one of the most famous Sun Gods.

This is further reinforced by the fact both Solgaleo and Astronauts are space related. ExLight (talk) 12:50, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

Creation trio (Adventures)

Are you ever going to ask to put this page up? It would probably be better coming from the creator.--Rahl (talk) 00:35, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Pokémon Adventures' character ages.

Why did you undo all my edits? Ultra Ray (talk) 15:25, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

For one, the month that the chapters take place varies, where it could be before a character's birthday and after another's. Also calculating the Pokemon adventure characters' ages isn't something that should be done as at best it's only estimating and at worst it's speculation, with only using the lastest confirmed age to be used.Animaltamer7 (talk) 16:21, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Chad edit war

Please stop. The French and Italian names for Chad are not the same as the in-game names for the School Kid. In French, the School Kid is named Vincent (GSC) or Mathys (HGSS), while anime Chad is named Lucas. In Italian the School Kid is named Loris, while the anime character is named Karel. This can be easily checked on the article about Johto Route 38 on respective language Wikis. And Brazilian Portuguese doesn't even have official localization of neither games. There is also no clear phonetic similarity between the names Chad, Lucas, Karel and Caio, so there is absolutely no reason to state that they are "similar". Don't revert edits when you're clearly wrong on the matter. --Maxim (talk) 10:05, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Reverting my edits

Why do you keep reverting my edits without providing a reason?

In ORAS, it's been 9 years since RGB and 4 years since RS, Ruby and Sapphire are 15 and Emerald is 14.

This means that Gold is 17, Silver is 16-17, Crystal is 17-18 and Bill is 24-25. These are facts.

Ultra Ray (talk) 15:49, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

I've seen this happen before with other new users who calculate the ages for the adventures characters, and every time Ataro or some other user reverts them as they aren't confirmed ages and estimation shouldn't be done. The ORAS chapter has no confirmed dates to use, how long after the HGSS chapter it takes is unconfirmed. Animaltamer7 (talk) 16:34, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
Then why does Red, Green, Blue and Bill's pages have their ORAS ages? Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald's ages are confirmed in PokéSPedia and Red, Green and Gold's exact age can be calculated from theirs. Bill being 24 in ORAS is literally an uncorfimed estimation (based on him being "4 years older than Red" during RGB, which took place after Red's birthday and before Bill's), that's why I changed it to 24-25. Ultra Ray (talk) 17:22, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
I'm not really sure about that, try asking that to Ataro. Animaltamer7 (talk) 17:33, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
If you're not sure, why did you revert my edits? Ultra Ray (talk) 17:42, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
Because you've also been undoing the reverts that other users have done to your edits which as ForceFire warned on your talkpage is edit warring.Animaltamer7 (talk) 17:58, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Anime series sections

Hey, I created a proposal of adding series sections in the articles for Pokémon species. For instance, adding "Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl", "Pokémon the Series: Black & White", etc. sections in Pikachu.

This is being discussed here: Bulbapedia talk:Editor's Hub#Pokémon pages with anime series sections. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 13:34, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

You have to deleted it

why not rewrite it then. Without explanation what wrong. can you explain maybe we can discuss. If you can deleted then their time for us to discuss about it. you did it fast. we can do this very fast :) Ash Dragonite met Iris Dragnoite, who had a personality that was the complete opposite of other Dragonites. Dragonite shown to be apprehensive of fighting the terrifying Dragonite. Although Dragonite was willing to put its hesitation as side to do its best to win battles for Ash. --Gian9456 01:52, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

For one, you need to try to better your grammar, don't expect everyone else to fix your summaries. There's a lot of grammatical errors in your summaries that the majority of the people who've reverted them (probably) don't have the time to correct it.Animaltamer7 (talk) 01:59, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Ash's Dragonite encounters Iris's Dragnoite, who had a personality completely opposed to the other Dragonites. Dragonite has shown its apprehension in battling against the terrifying Dragonite. Although Dragonite was ready to put his hesitation as a sideline to do his best to win the battle for Ash.--Gian9456 02:22, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

I was curious about resilience. Ash dragnoite taken a lot of attacks from Iris Pokemon and whist and them to continue on battle to win. it definitely a powerhouse Pokemon --Gian9456 02:33, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

is that a yes??--Gian9456 11:22, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

No. Animaltamer7 (talk) 12:03, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

why no? Didn't explain the reasoning?--Gian9456 01:57, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Spiky Shield on Chesnaught as a signature move

(I am at school and I only have my phone, but there is no "undo" function on mobile). Please see Bulbapedia talk:Project Moves and Abilities#Signature guidelines before reverting edits that removed information about signature moves. I want to talk, mainly with Force Fire, before defining the definitive guidelines to consider a move a signature move for a given Pokémon or evolutionary family. Thank you. --Bfdifan2006 10:31, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
