Some Pokémon display Battle Traits related to the Game mechanics that cannot be transferable or negated by any means, usually as an exception of said mechanics.

  • Since Generation V, when Diglett and Dugtrio are sent out, they merely fade onto the screen instead of dropping down like all other Pokémon.
  • Diglett and Dugtrio are immune to Telekinesis.
Shedinja Shedinja
  • Shedinja will always have 1 base HP regardless of Level, Effort values and consuming HP-enhancing items. Although Shedinja can eat Dynamax Candy, its HP will remain at 1 regardless when it Dynamaxes.
  • In Generation IV, Shedinja immediately recovers from poison (instead of losing health) outside of battle after four steps.
Rayquaza Mega Rayquaza
  • Dragon Ascent's animation displays a different coloration when used by a Pokémon other than Mega Rayquaza. When used by Mega Rayquaza, it also features a longer animation.
