Should Makomo be added to the Pokemon Professors category? Vienna Waltz 22:44, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

No, she's not a professor, she's a researcher. 梅子 22:47, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Battle

You lot do know she is able to be battled yes? She's battled in the Shippou City Gym if I recall correctly (I should remember, she was a pain to defeat)--Darknesslover5000 23:59, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

...are you implying that all instances of the female Scientist is Makomo? ~ solaris 00:00, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Ah, sorry 'bout that. (can't read Japanese and it was just an assumption) honest mistake anyone can make--Darknesslover5000 00:14, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Professor?

According to BW006's recently updated summary on TV Tokyo's site, Makomo is a Professor.

It says "この状況に一同が困惑していると、そこに“ゆめくいポケモン”ムンナを連れた女性が現れた!彼女の名はマコモ博士".
So, shouldn't we add her to the Pokémon Professors category? ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 11:05, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
I don't think she's ever referred to as a professor in the games (I could be wrong), so as far as I know this is anime-only... so what should be done about it? :V 梅子 10:33, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Since TV Tokyo is an official source, I think we should consider her as a Professor. What do you say? ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 11:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm not arguing that she's not a Professor in the anime, she introduced herself as such in the episode. But so far as I know this distinction is exclusive to the anime, so I'm unsure how it should be handled. 梅子 11:13, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
True, how about adding Professor with a * like this one, *? This might help. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 11:36, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

If she's a Doctor...

...then why don't we rename the page to Doctor Fennel? It says so on the anime character template. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 01:19, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

I agree I don't understand why the Anime character template says "Doctor Fennel" when she is know as just "Fennel" everywhere else. I think it's a little inconsistant. --Pokemaster97 01:30, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
That depends? Does she ever introduce herself as a doctor in Black or White (can't remember). Ataro 01:32, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
I don't remember either, but I know that if she refers to herself as Doctor Fennel in the anime, I think we should call her that when refering to the anime. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 01:36, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
She only went by Doctor Fennel (Makomo Hakase) in the anime. That's why the anime template says that. She was never called "Doctor" in the games. --ケンジガール 01:40, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Quotes

Shouldn't there also be quotes from her Pokémon Dream World tutorial? --Enervation 15:29, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Here's everything she says. Bluesun 16:01, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Amanita?

I can't imagine that you would put her down as Fennel's sister if it wasn't confirmed in canon, but I can't remember if/when they confirmed it... could someone tell me when she was confirmed her sister? Because if no one can remember I think it should be deleted until we confirm it. HannahMyPet 01:12, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

She's only mentioned as an assistant in the manga section of the article. As for the Amanita article, its manga section is missing so maybe Anamita refers to her as a sister? Frozen Fennec 01:19, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Based on the date and the person adding it, I'm guessing Nintendo Dream. Can anyone verify that? --SnorlaxMonster 13:09, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
I think that part about Amanita being her sister ought to be removed until her relationship to Fennel (or otherwise lack thereof) can be confirmed. My 2 cents. Haxorus 13:52, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
About that, I just found it on the Japanese wiki and a number of Japanese websites, so I'm assuming it was mentioned in the games or at least, confirmed in one of the official strategy guidebooks. --超龍對話 15:01, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
