| Well, since I've spent so much time editing the site, I figured I should finally work on my talk page.

| ==History with Pokémon==

| I joined around the end of Generation I. During the height of the Pokémon fad, I couldn't see what all the fuss was about; in fact, I hated it. Somehow, I started to watch the anime, and it started to interest me. So, I got Pokémon Yellow for my tenth birthday, and I was instantly hooked to it. Around my neighborhood and school, I instantly became known as the Pokémon guru. I couldn't get enough of the games. I raised a L100 team, caught 143 of the Pokémon (including Mew), and consulted every strategy guide and Nintendo Power I could get my hands on while watching the anime religiously.

| Then, Gold and Silver came out, and they blew my mind. They improved on the originals in almost every way, and I was definetly hooked. So I spent countless hours raising another L100 team, got Pokémon Stadium 2, and bought Crystal soon after it came out. By this time, however, the anime was starting to annoy me, and I eventually stopped watching it after the countless fillers in the Johto arc.

| Ruby and Sapphire rolled around. By this time, Pokémon was getting old, and after beating the game once, I quickly lost interest in it. I didn't go back to the anime, either. So, I quit Pokémon for a while. Then, while browsing a message board (Pojo :|), I found out that FireRed and LeafGreen were about to come out. More importantly, it introduced me to NetBattle, and the world of competitive Pokémon battling. The game seemed to take on a whole new dimension; I could actually play with intelligent humans, instead of being limited to the terrible AI and a couple of kids in the neighborhood. So, competitive play drew me back into Pokémon for good. I was able to find all the information on the Internet that I would have killed for when I was younger, and I could finally meet other people that were serious about battling. I still enjoy the actual games, and may buy SoulSilver so that I can actually participate in Wi-Fi battles (as opposed to just battles on ShoddyBattle) and the video game championships.

| Odd Fact: Although I got raised several teams back in the day by grinding and I've done Perfect Games for various other games, I can hardly stand to grind for the Elite Four in the regular storyline nowadays. Guess the simulators spoiled me.
