Why did they choose this name? What does it means?

It's just a name, I think. Like Brandan or May, there probably isn't any deep literary reasoning for it. FabuVinny 11:11, 26 January 2006 (CST)

Should Wally be considered a Rival character? ---- Shaddow Boy

Possibly, though he isn't the conventional rival. Prima's R/S strategy guide calls him your protégé. --FabuVinny 12:56, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Is the Sceptile Emerald has supposed to have evolved from Wally's Grovyle? --Zeta 07:28, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Trivia section

This also makes him the only rival who is not related to a celebrity, unlike Blue (Professor Oak), Silver (Giovanni), and Pearl (Palmer).

Was it ever really confirmed that Giovanni and Silver were related? It's most likely that they are, but I don't ever recall hearing that Silver was Giovanni's son other than the "Giovanni's kid has red hair" comment. It might be that Wally isn't the only rival related to a celebrity. --ケンジガール 04:13, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
