If I remember correct MissingNo doesn't have a standard TM/HM set...

Ehem. If MISSINGNO has a hex, it has a HM/TM list as well, asigned to the HEX. WHEEE

Darkmewham2!

I am also unsure about the validity of the HM/TM list and for its base stats too. In my opinion these values are semi-random, depending on the memory part that affects its appearence. Maybe someone can run some research on that? On and please don't come up with another "if it has a hex" line again... --Arty2 20:00, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I added more TMs to the list, as seen on [1]. They did extensive research into such glitches as Missingno., and came up with that TM and HM list. --Missingno. Master 10:53, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Either missingno. or some other glitch somehow did permanent damage to my Red.

The bit in a rom storing the color pallete for GBC/GBA/Super Game Boy was somehow modified, and so my game has screwed up colors. Does anyone know how it's even possible for this value to be modified? I assumed it was hardcoded. Also, is there a gameshark code I could use that will correct this value? --1338h4x 23:36, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Does it affect the entire game? Or only happen when your game is loaded? MK 02:17, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
The whole game, no matter how many times I erase data. Aside from the strange colors though, the rest of the game functions fine. --1338h4x 23:41, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, that's strange. I always thought the default GBC colors were coded into the system. Maybe it depends on the game. --Libertyernie 19:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
If you press buttons while the GBC is booting up, you can change the palette. I take it this defines a set handful of colors for the game to draw upon, each one assigned to a value. --1338h4x 00:58, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Power Plant coast?

Is it possible in Pokémon Red & Blue to catch Missingno. or other non-water Pokémon on the coast near the Power Plant rather than the Cinnabar coast? I broke my Blue (by foolishly using a Game Genie) so I can't test it out. --Libertyernie 19:36, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I doubt it. The reason the missingno glitch occurs is that Cinnabar has no Pokemon defined for surf encounters, despite the existance of one stip of water, the coast. As such, the variable for encounters is set at whatever it was last, like the safari zone. Old Man's weedle is either M or Missingno, I forget which. Your other encounters are determined by your name, since that's where the game chooses to store the string while replacing your name with OLD MAN. --1338h4x 00:58, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

DP Missingno.?

I've seen that video on YouTube before, and I figured that it needed mentioning here in Missingno.'s article, since it has the similar appearance. Anyway, does anyone have DP who's tried the glitch who can give a firsthand account? Tom Temprotran 13:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

MissingNo. in the Japanese green verison?

Does MissingNo. appear in the Japanese green verison? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Asukagirl (talkcontribs).

Far as I know it does. Our Blue was based off Green's wild Pokémon, so if it's there in Blue, it's there in Green. Tom Temprotran 03:21, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Remember the old rumors?

I remember back in the day, like... eight years ago? Anyhow, I remember the stories that were circulating around GameFAQs and Pokemon fansites about... well, this and other things, but this one especially. I remember the best being that if you see missingno., you needed to immediately kill it to prevent your game from being fried. I dunno about you guys, but since this was before the internet was really huge, I start selling people khangaskans. Never hurt me, except I lost a file on my Red once. But I had like, ninty kangaskans, so I would trade them to other kids for like, twenty bucks. I was rolling in dough for several weeks. It was great.

Seafoam Islands

Why isn't the fact that MissingNo. can also be found at Seafoam Island mentioned here? Even Pokemon.com mentioned this fact once when they mentioned the Safari Zone glitch. Of coarse, they did make a mistake when they said that MissingNo. can appear if you preform the Safari Zone Glitch and not the MissingNo. glitch itself. I'd like to add that part to this article, however, I won't until someone else agrees with me on this issue or better yet, adds it themselves. --Jake 19:49, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

I think it's not in here because you can't find Missingno. at Seafoam Island. Yes, its coast has the same programming error as Cinnibar, but you can't get to Seafoam Island directly from Viridian like you can with Cinnibar. You have to SURF from Fuchsia or Cinnibar, and entering a route with wild Pokemon during the glitch process effectively nullifies it. Fsilone 02:32, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Spacety space space

Note there is an extra space in front of the Ghost Missingno.'s name. Compare it to the regular. Thought I'd give a mention. TinaTheKirlia 22:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

...you're right... huh. Odd, because MISSINGNO. is the ten-char limit... TTEchidna 06:15, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Missingno. or MissingNo.?

Seriously? TTEchidna 05:23, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

How can we ever really tell? I mean, all names in the games are in capitals, and Missingno. is not an official character, so there's no references or published stuff to check it against... --DarkfireTaimatsu 05:27, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
That's my question, what was so wrong about leaving it as Missingno.?
As for references, well... we COULD ask Nintendo their stance on the name... I've had Insomniac answer more meaningless questions. TTEchidna 09:41, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
I've seen an email by Nintendo about Missingno... and I've pretty sure they spelled it "MissingNo.". (Not that I spell it that way, haha.) TinaTheKirlia File:281MS.gif 15:47, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

I dont think it really is a glitch, really! File:Ani491MS.gifKPF 16:49, 14 November 2007 (UTC) Um. But it IS a glitch. o.o; 281Tinaδ282 18:31, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Mewtwo?

if you look closely at it, its pixels will somehow look like mewtwo, at least for me.

Other forms?

Can someone upload sprites of Missingno.'s other forms? You know, the ghost (and the Wild MISSINGNO. appeared! screenshot doesn't count), the Aerodactyl skeleton, and the Kabutops skeleton? I'd do it myself, if I knew how. Missingno. Master 23:57, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

PLEASE??? Without them, the page just doesn't seem complete. ??? 21:44, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

In the anime

OK, whose bright idea was it to completely erase the "in the anime" section??? --

Glitch Pokémon and Official Pokémon

There is no real difference between the two. In my opinion, the two should be considered equal!

Because, seriously, Missingno. didn't appeared in the anime. Those were ghosts created by Ghastly which was strong enough to confuse Ash's Pokedex. Does Ghastly have a move that can instantly create a Missingno. in the games? I don't think so. >_> File:Ani026MS.gifMudkipchanFile:Ani392MS.gif

Does it have a move that can create ghosts instantly? Didn't think so. Besides, why do you assume Gastly created them? For all we know, it could be its minions.

Because, my dear Wattson, the skull ghosts were gathered there and turned into Gastly. Apparently, at the same time, the lady disappeared. User:Optimus35/sig 04:35, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
