One little problem...

The English language version calls it honey, can this be edited?Gatogirl

Duration and Other Pokemon

Some information is incorrect. It does not take exactly ten hours before a Pokemon appears. I have periods of time shorter than this (approx 8 hours) and much longer (although I am not sure how much longer). It may also be of some use to record which other Pokemon can appear on the trees. i.e. Wurmple and one of those cocoon Pokemon. Dark2th 08:27, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I have just found a Pokemon in a tree that I slathered with honey 4 hours ago. So the time is definitely not 10. I have also discovered what may or may not be a glitch. Honey tree groups ???

I found a strange table on Psypokes.com with different "tree groups". They suggest that Munchlax is so rare, becasue it appears only in one group of trees and there is only tree that belongs to this group - it is the tree at Valley Windworks. However, it seems that Munchlax is the only Pokemon available to catch there - it's of course not true, I've just seen Wurmple and Cherubi there.

I prepared a table to show you.

Name Games Tree group
Aipom D P 1 2
Heracross D P 2
Wurmple* D P 1 2
Silcoon* D 1
Cascoon* P 1
Combee D P 1 2
Burmy D P 1 2
Cherubi D P 1 2
Munchlax D P 3

Could someone please check this piece of news? Piotr mil 16:56, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid I've just proven your Munchlaz theory wrong. I've just caught one at the Honey tree on Route 210 N. (w/ the fog) at Level 15. It was also holding a Leftovers too, but that's besides the point. I've done Honey trees in groups of 9 at the following trees: Floaroma Town, Route 205 S. (near Floaroma Town), Valley Windworks, Route 207, Route 205 N. (near Eterna City), Route 209, Route 210 S. and N. (fogless and fog), and Route 215. Out of 3 sets of 9, it was the very last one. --Frusion1021 10:48, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your help with Munchlax. It wasn't my theory, actually, it was from Psypokes.com - I remember that a few years ago, before the 3rd generation was released, internet was full of "lists of Shiny Pokemon places" to fool people that, for example, "red Graveler appears in Mt.Mortar and has boosted stats". I'm pretty sure it's the same. Anyway, thanks for help. *Runs to Route 210* Piotr mil 23:22, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
It seems these "groups" denote rarity, although I'm not sure how. I've too seen mentions of these groups, but I'm not sure if the information is actual game data, or even from a reliable source. If the groups do have a concrete source, I'd love to see it. Homerowed 11:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Lots of Changes

I took the liberty of changing and adding a ton of stuff to this article. Most, if not all, of the information provided by me is based on personal experience, but with countless hours and thousands of trees under my belt, I'm extremely confident in what I've written. If anybody has any discrepancies with any of this, I'd ask that you first double-check your information with my own and make sure that you did not make any mistakes. I honestly do not mean to sound arrogant or anything, but I have put so much time and energy into these trees, and would be extremely surprised if someone was to genuinely find something different.

One thing to note is that I've changed the rarity values for the Pokémon, because they did not seem quite right to me. The values I've entered are based on a log of 300 separate Honey Tree encounters, and I feel they are more accurate than the values entered before I edited them. However, if there is a source for the previous values or any other rarity values, feel free to change them.

Thanks. Homerowed 11:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Lokks good to me. PL12 12:32, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I've been on a mad hunt for Munchlax for a month. I've seen 9 Heracross so far, but no Munchlax. Maybe a 0.5% chance for Munchlax? --▄█ 'Clorox ▓▒ 04:21, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
