This is the King of Herrings. Considerably more likely than any of the possibilities listed on the page.[[User:Bug Catcher Wade|<span style="color: Purple;">'''Bug Catcher Wade'''</span>]] 00:29, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Gorebyss is based quite clearly on the long-nosed chimera: pkmn-chimaera.jpg This is a well-known fish in Japan, and an inhabitant of the Deep Sea Abyss like Huntail (gulper eel). I'm amazed the name origin doesn't say anything about the abyss, either. Byss? Seriously? That's far too obscure even for Pokemon. Huntail and Gorebyss are both based on ABYSS dwelling fish. - unsigned comment from Scythemantis (talkcontribs)
