Treat
A treat (Japanese: おやつ snack) is a type of Key Item introduced in Generation IX. They are obtained from a man named Snacksworth at Blueberry Academy and are used to encounter various Legendary Pokémon across Paldea.
In the core series games
Treats are special items that are given to the player by an old man named Snacksworth, who specially crafted them to be enjoyed by specific Legendary Pokémon—all of which he claimed to have encountered in the past. Snacksworth arrives at the entrance of Blueberry Academy after the player has completed the main story of The Indigo Disk.
Treats are given out based on the number of Blueberry Quests the player has completed since their arrival at Blueberry Academy. A new treat is provided every 10 solo Blueberry Quests completed, up to a maximum of 130 quests, and for every one group Blueberry Quest completed. Some treats that are obtained by completing solo quests in Pokémon Scarlet are obtainable in Pokémon Violet by completing group quests, and vice versa.
While in the Bag, the treats allow the player to encounter Legendary Pokémon as static encounters in their respective location.
