Mischievous Heart

I think mischievous heart should redirect to this page, in the same way that encourage redirects to Brute Force.^_^ Delspencerdeltorro 14:14, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Changing Priority

Just confirming, is it increase priority of move by one, or makes priority +1? There are several status moves with decreased priority (Murkrow's Whirlwind most notably), thats why I'm curious. --ЫъГЬ 16:49, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

According to Smogon, it increases priority by 1. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 16:55, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Moves effected

How about a list of moves that can be effected by this ability, like there is on Iron Fist? But not ones that these Pokemon don't learn though, it would go on forever. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 08:09, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

I think it affects all status moves, so including a list here would be pointless. --SnorlaxMonster 11:29, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Quick Guard

Does Quick Guard block all moves increased in priority by Prankster, or only those whose priority is now positive? Would Prankster Roar/WHirlwind be blocked by Quick Guard? --SnorlaxMonster 15:41, 13 December 2013 (UTC)

Prankster Roar/Whirlwind and not blocked by Quick Guard. However, all moves that can bypass Protect can bypass Quick Guard after a Prankster boost anyway. --SnorlaxMonster 10:41, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Losing prankster...

Hi,I don't know if this is common knowledge or has been discussed in other discussion, but when sableye mega evolves and loses its prankster ability, does it lose the effect immediately,as in the effect doesn't even activate that turn? Earlier I witnessed Sableye using will-o-wisp the turn it mega-evolves before my dragonite makes a move, which I thought was absurd... P.S. I recorded the battle (this is irrelevant,I know, but hell,it was a fun battle XD) Fiky f (talk) 16:23, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

As explained here, the turn order is determined before Mega Evolving, so Sableye does indeed get a Prankster boost while Mega Evolving. And yes, it's pretty common knowledge among competitive players.--

Ah,thank you,I've looked for explanations,but I guess not hard enough. I feel embarrassed now :)... Fiky f (talk) 18:35, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

metronome and priority

prankster won't activate for moves called via metronome, as metronome can cause moves with increased priority to come after moves with neutral priority. Pikachu210 (talk) 23:57, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say. Prankster boosts all status moves' priority by 1. So if you use Metronome, it will be used at +1 priority instead of its normal 0 priority. Which move gets called by Metronome has no impact on what Metronome's priority is. --SnorlaxMonster 02:33, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
but the moves that get called will not activate prankster. Pikachu210 (talk) 20:44, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
Oh, I think I understand what you were trying to say now. Does this edit address your concerns? --SnorlaxMonster 10:59, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
