Grounded

Are Pokémon using Fly healed while they are up in the air? - Pokémon Questions? -- 03:25, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

If they're using Fly, they aren't grounded. Glik (talk) 03:43, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
And what about Dig or Dive? Does "grounded" only mean the surface? - Pokémon Questions? -- 14:58, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
You know, there's a page about being grounded. Glik (talk) 16:08, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

No, I didn't know, because the word "grounded" was not hyperlinked. I added the link now. Thank you. - Pokémon Questions? -- 13:17, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Besides that, the article grounded does not state using Fly as not being grounded, does not even mention Fly or Dig, so... what's right?!? - Pokémon Questions? -- 13:26, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

I checked, and Pokémon that are using Fly/Bounce/Sky Drop are not affected by Grassy Terrain. --SnorlaxMonster 06:55, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Halving the power of spread Ground-type moves

The article currently states that it halves the power of Earthquake, Bulldoze, and Magnitude, "even in a single battle". To me, this implies that this halving is the same as the halving that occurs in a Double Battle when using a move that hits multiple Pokémon, so it wouldn't stack with it. Is this the case?

Additionally, does this halving only occur when they are Ground-type moves? If they have their type changed by Electrify or Normalize, is the damage still halved? --SnorlaxMonster 06:55, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

Also, does it affect the power of Earthquake/etc. when used by a non-grounded Pokémon? And does it affect the power of Earthquake/etc. when used on a non-grounded Pokémon (Mold Breaker/etc. on a Pokémon with Levitate, or No Guard/Mind Reader/Lock-On Earthquake/etc. on a Pokémon in the semi-invulnerable state of Fly/etc.). --SnorlaxMonster 06:58, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
I did the testing myself, in single battle, and with Normalize, in gen 6; but didn't test the "ungrounded"; see here for details. Pikachu25 (talk) 05:52, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
