Sonia's Party Prep—The Finest Tea (Japanese: ソニア編　最高のティー Sonia Edition: The Best Tea) was a costume event in Pokémon Masters EX, and a sub-story of the costume event Curious Tea Party. It was focused on the sync pair Sonia (Special Costume) & Tsareena.

The "Sonia Costume Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Sonia (Special Costume) & Tsareena starting on April 7, 2022 and lasting until the end of the event.

During this event, players had to use a Story Key, which could be obtained by completing a story area in Curious Tea Party, to unlock the event's area info. Once unlocked, players could earn Event Vouchers S from battles that could be redeemed in the shop. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers and Story Keys were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.

Players could battle with Lillie (Special Costume) & Polteageist, Sonia (Special Costume) & Tsareena, Ingo (Special Costume) & Accelgor, or Emmet (Special Costume) & Escavalier to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Nessa & Drednaw to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and any unlisted sync pairs with the Alola or Galar theme skills to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.

This event featured a special riddle mission. In The Three Necessiteas, Nessa presented Sonia with a riddle, which the player would have to answer. The player could give their answer by completing the battle "Solve Nessa's Riddle!" using sync pairs with specific theme skills. Answering the riddle correctly would unlock The Fourth Ingredient, in which Sonia gave the same answer.

During the second run of Curious Tea Party, this event's story and battles were combined with the other sub-stories into Solving Wonderful Mysteries.

Trivia

• The coded objective for the riddle mission required the player to complete the battle using a Fire, Water, and Grass-type sync pair and with three or fewer sync pairs fainting. However, since it is impossible to have more than three sync pairs faint in a standard battle, the second condition is completely redundant.
