Jessie's Woobat (Japanese: ムサシのコロモリ Musashi's Koromori) is the first Pokémon that Jessie caught in the Unova region, and her eighth overall.
History
Pokémon the Series: Black & White
Unova
In Enter Iris and Axew!, while in a cave planning their move, the Team Rocket trio saw a group of Woobat. Jessie caught one off-screen, as was revealed when Jessie called him out to battle Ash's newly acquired Pidove. He was able to defeat the Tiny Pigeon Pokémon with a single Gust as she was already weakened during her battle with Pikachu. He was then defeated by Oshawott's Water Gun after he had worn Pikachu and Axew out.
In Scare at the Litwick Mansion!, Woobat teamed up with James's Yamask, Ash's Oshawott, Ash's Pikachu, and Cilan's Dwebble to defeat the Litwick and their Lampent leader.
In A Restoration Confrontation! Part 1, Woobat was used to capture a Tirtouga that Dr. Zager had just resurrected, however it escaped after blowing a hole in the helicopter with Ancient Power. In the next episode, Woobat battled to capture the Prototurtle Pokémon alongside Yamask, until Tirtouga evolved into Carracosta and fled the scene. Woobat later battled Pikachu and Cilan's Pansage as they tied to rescue the captured Carracosta before the time gate at Twist Mountain.
In All for the Love of Meloetta!, Woobat helped uncover Meloetta while Team Rocket were pursuing it. Later in Meloetta and the Undersea Temple!, Woobat confronted Ash and co alongside Yamask so that Team Rocket could steal Meloetta. He battled against Iris's Axew and Cilan's Pansage while Giovanni pursued Ash and Meloetta. Then in the next episode, Woobat and Yamask used their combined attacks to launch Ash of the top of the ancient temple to prevent him from interfering with Operation Tempest. After Operation Tempest failed, Woobat joined Jessie in retreating to Kanto.
When Jessie returned to Unova in New Places...Familiar Faces!, she brought Woobat with her, as revealed in The Light of Floccesy Ranch!, where he was blasted off by an Ampharos Team Rocket attempted to steal.
In Team Plasma's Pokémon Manipulation!, Woobat was used to battle Aldith's Liepard alongside Amoonguss as Jessie, James, and Meowth tried to steal Colress's Pokémon manipulation machine. Eventually Liepard's Shadow Ball veered and hit Colress's machine, releasing Iris's Dragonite and Rhoder's Haxorus which were under his control.
In What Lies Beyond Truth and Ideals!, Woobat helped fight off Team Plasma's controlled Pokémon.
Decolore Islands
In Team Rocket's Shocking Recruit!, Woobat battled Ash and his friends for the final time in Unova. Team Rocket had managed to trap Iris's Axew and Emolga, and Ash's Snivy stepped up to save them. Woobat tried to stop her with Air Slash, but was pushed back by multiple Vine Whips and a Leaf Storm. The Pokémon were then freed by a variety of attacks and Team Rocket was blasted off.
Woobat was given away to Giovanni for Team Rocket in The Dream Continues!.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series
In Rocket Revengers!, Woobat, alongside the rest of Team Rocket's Pokémon at Team Rocket HQ, were sent to Jessie and James so they could be added back to their team. Realizing the potential of such a large group, the team hatched a scheme to isolate Ash's Pikachu and capture him. Woobat was one of the many Pokémon that waited at the end of the trap, where he ambushed an isolated Pikachu. When the rest of Team Rocket's Pokémon returned, Woobat joined them to launch a combined attack at the Mouse Pokémon. However, it was dodged, and Wobbuffet ended up sending it back with Mirror Coat. A wild Latias that had been following Ash then intervened and sent the evil group blasting off.
Personality and characteristics
Woobat has shown to have a personality like Jessie as shown in Crisis at Chargestone Cave!, where Woobat was shown to like picking on Pokémon weaker and smaller than himself, shown when he was happy to chase and attack a small Joltik, but in A Fishy Connoisseur in a Fishy Competition!, Woobat was weak and frightened when he was about to be hit by Pansage's Bullet Seed and when seeing Cilan's Dwebble evolve.
